BC: Though an era ends the history and legends will live forever, whether it be when a child hits a home run, a swimmer finishes a race, the athlete's preparation before they preform these heroes are all a part of us.

8: The1920's was a period in time when people lived life to the fullest and enjoyed the extras in life, which is carried into the customs of the 21st century. The biggest proof of this is the industry of sports. In the twenties people would be spend their free time attending, listening, or playing sports., One can say that sports are the past time of all humans, because there is not one person in this world who has not played, watched or attended a sporting event in their life. I chose to highlight the "Golden Age" of sports because many of the athletes of this era have set the ground work for people in the present time. Every person can relate to exhilarating feeling of a victory and the hardship of the opportunities of gone by. Engaging in sporting activities was and still is a great way for people to unwind and be a part of something greater than themselves.
9: Many legends appeared in the 1920's.... | In 1920 William "Big Big" Tatem Tilden ii became the first American to win Wimbledon 1921 The fight that became known as the "Fight of the Century" where Jack "The Manassa Mauler" Dempsey battled the at the time heavy weight champion, Georges Carpentier and demolished him. In 1922 the sport of water skiing hit the public invented by Ralph Samuelson originally consisting of bend lumber, leather, and long window sashes. In 1923 New York Yankees defeat the New York Giants, with the first ever opening day at the original Yankee Stadium on April 18th. The Olympics where set in the winter of 1924 in Paris, France. 1925 Peter DePaolo set the record for the fastest speed at the Indy 500 for that time being 101.13mph
10: Gertrude Ederle swam across the english channel in 14 hours 39 minutes 1927 the year Babe Ruth has the season where he is able to hit 60 home runs which remained a record for 34 years. In 1928 the Olympics where held in Amsterdam, Netherlands To close the decade in 1929 the tiny Green Bay won the first of three straight national professional football championships
