1: While I'm invited to Tom's mansion, it was pretty boring, then Tom tried to interest Daisy and me in a book called The Rise of the Colored Empires by a man named Goddard. Daisy teases about the book, while Tom was interrupted by a phone call. It was from Tom's lover in New York. I felt pretty awkward, and dinner was also awkward. Afterwards, I wanted to go to bed, due to a golf tournament the next day. Daisy mentions to Tom that Nick should take interest in me. | Chapter 1

2: Chapter 2 | As Daisy and I are together, we've kinda figured that Tom is off with his mistress in New York. Daisy is telling me how she feels and she seems hurt. We know the inside scoop; we're wondering if Tom will admit to it. We've also heard a rumor that Tom has hit Myrtle.

3: Nick runs into me at one of Gatsby's parties as my friend Lucille, speculates that Gatsby was a German spy during the war. Nick and I are curious about our host, so we set out to find Gatsby. Instead, we run into a middle-aged man with huge, owl-eyed spectacles. Nick and I go outside to watch the entertainment. We sit at a table with a handsome young man who says that Nick looks familiar to him. Pretty soon, Nick follows the advice of Daisy and Tom and begins seeing me. Nick says that I'm a dishonest person; Nick feels attracted to me despite my dishonesty, | Chapter 3

4: After he lunch in New York with Gatsby and Meyer Wolfshiem, Nick finally sees me, and i tell him the details of my mysterious conversation with Gatsby at the party. According to me, Gatsby has asked me to convince Nick to arrange a reunion between Gatsby and Daisy. He is terrified that Daisy will refuse to see him, Gatsby wants Nick to invite Daisy to tea. Without Daisy’s knowledge, Gatsby intends to come to the tea at Nick’s house as well, surprising her and forcing her to see him. | Chapter 4 | Wolfshiem | Nick

5: Chapter 5 | That night, Nick comes home from the city after a date with me. He's mentioned something about helping Gatsby set up a date for Gatsby and Daisy. Meanwhile, I'm just waiting for the next time i talk to him. | Chapter 5

6: Gatsby's Mansion- famous for parties | Rumors continuously spread around New York. I guess for a cover-up, Gatsby has a party and invites Tom, Daisy, and Nick, I guess i wasn't invited. Though, I did hear Tom wasn't interested in the party and Daisy didn't have a good time. | Chapter 6

7: On the hottest day of the summer, I'm at East Egg for lunch at the house of Tom and Daisy. All of a sudden, Nick comes. We all go to New York together. Driving back to Long Island, Nick, Tom, and I discover a frightening scene on the border of the valley of ashes. Myrtle has been hit by Gatsby’s big yellow automobile. | Chapter 7

8: After enough bad news for one day, i decide to go to bed. The next day, Nick goes to his office, but he feels too distracted to work, and even refuses to meet up with me. Just as i thought it couldn't get any worse, they find Gatsby lying on an air mattress in the pool, floating in the water and looking up at the sky. Wilson shoots Gatsby, killing him instantly, then shoots himself. | Chapter 8

9: Nick decides to move back to the Midwest. He breaks off his relationship with me, who suddenly claims that I have become engaged to another man. It's not really true. I've just encountered another man because so much has gone on in Nick's life. | Chapter 9
