Helen was born June 27, 1880. When Helen was a year and a half old she got a high fever .A few days later the fever was gone but Helen was never the same .Her illness had left her deaf and blind .
As Helen got older her parents didn't know what to do with her .Mrs. Keller had heard about Dr .Chisholm who was a special eye doctor in Baltimore .The family took Helen to Baltimore as soon as they could .
As they arrived , Dr.Chisholm could not cure Helen but he told them about Alexander Graham Bell so they then to Mr. Bell and he told them about the Perkins Institution for the Blind. They hired a student from a special school in Boston whose name was Anne Sullivan .
When Anne brought Helen to a near by water pump Helen realized that the word w.a.t.e.r. meant something wet going over your hand Helen was so happy that she had learned to talk and could know what people looked liked Anne stayed with Helen for a good fifty years and was the most important person in Helen's life after her parents .Helen passed away a few days before her birthday.
Interview Question’s If you could change one thing about your life what would be ??? I don’t think she would change one thing about her life for the world because if she did she would just be an ordinary person . Do you like dogs ??? I think she would love dog’s because they could help guide her and there friendly ,cute and they give you lot’s of company .
My opinion on this person. The reason I chose Helen Keller is because I thought that she was interesting .She was the coolest blind person I have ever learned about . She wrote a series of books and also met President Eisenhower. Helen Keller was the first of many blind and deaf people to do so many things which is I chose Helen Keller .
