FC: The Organ system | By: Francis Cruz
Organ Systems | The Integumentary System The Skeletal System The Muscular System The Digestive System The Endocrine System The Nervous System The Respiratory System The Circulatory System The Urinary system The Immune system
The Integumentary System | It's considered as the outer layer of organisms. Skin , Nails , and hair is in this system. The use of is that it collects protein so that it can get protection. Also, what it does is that it maintains homeostasis.
The Skeletal System | What the skeletal system does is that it protects internal organs. It helps with the production of blood and the attachments of muscles. It has the three joints too.
The Muscular System | It has three different types of muscles skeletal, cardiac, and smooth. | Cardiac Involuntary and the heart muscle is in this system | Smooth Involuntary the stomach lining and the intestines are in this system. | Skeletal voluntary The biceps, triceps, and the hamstrings are in this system.
The Digestive System | It breaks down and absorbs nutrients. These are some organs in this system. Mouth – digests enzymes for carbohydrates Esophagus – tube to stomach Stomach – digests enzymes Small Intestines – Absorbs, high surface area Large Intestines - Stores Liver – produces bile Gall bladder – stores bile Appendix – vestigial structure
The Nervous System | These are the organs in this system: Brain Spinal Cord Theses Senses are used in the system: – Vision – Hearing – Smell – Taste – Touch
The Respiratory System | – Trachea – cartilage covering – Bronchi – right and left – Lungs – Alveoli – location of gas exchange – Diaphragm – muscle for breathing
The Circulatory System | This system has blood vessels,a heart, and blood. It pumps the blood throughout the body.
The Urinary System | These are organs in this system: -Kidneys -Ureters -Bladder -Urethra - Filters blood and removes waste -Maintains homeostasis
The Immune System | -Body protects itself from the inside. -White blood cells
