FC: Raising The Age Of Driving To 18. BY: Alexis Murray
Did you know that by raising the driving age to 18, it's punishing young teens for others mistakes? "Well, the people who want to raise the age are labeling young teens as though, they were in an accident before even getting in the car". I believe that all ages can cause accidents, and that it's unfair to say that teenagers are the source of this problem. JohnD'Amico & Alex Koronkay

Drivers are a lot safer these days. Thanks to better advanced technology, we have more efficient cars, stronger safety laws, and better use of safety belts. Not to mention that the fatality rate has been steadily improving since 1966. Says, David Whiting, with the Orange County Register magazine.
According to the New York Times Upfront magazine, lack of experience causes accidents, not age.
Yet, there is another side to this debate. Research shows that deputies handled a total of 18 crashes involving teens, while intoxicated, says David Whiting. According to, New York Times Upfront magazine, all 50 states prohibit under aged teens from buying cigarettes, handguns, and drinking but yet they will put a 16 year old child in front of the wheel.
Also according to the study of the AAA Foundation, a 3rd of deaths were passengers, pedestrians, and drivers.
I believe that the current age of driving should remain the same. For the simple reasons that were stated, and for my own reasons, good or bad. No person should be labeled because of their peers.
