FC: My Birthday Beach Trip September 9 - 11, 2011
It's my 57th Birthday and I wanted to spend the weekend at the beach. Amanda and Scott watched the girls on Friday night and Cheri watched them on Saturday night and Sunday until we got home. A weekend away to relax and enjoy.... We got to The Sandcastle Hotel in Lincoln City Friday night. I was so foggy you could not even see the ocean. You could only hear it.
The next day the tide was way out. You could get close to the rocks and see all the starfish laying around and hanging on the rocks.
They were all different sizes and colors. I could not even start to count how many there was.
More starfish. Not a lot of seashells on the beach this time. The ocean is pretty calm this time of year.
Could not believe what the seagull had in his mouth. He has the starfish stuffed in there good. I am wondering if the starfish is holding on to the bird?
The clouds had cleared the way for the sunshine and blue skies. It is perfect weather. Just a small breeze.
 Calm ocean today.
Pictures of the ocean, need I say more?
Taft, Oregon. Every time we come here the bay has changed. This time is no exception. It has changed a lot this time.
Tom down by the waters edge looking for sea shells. We walked from the hotel to Taft and back. Long walk but it was still nice.
Evening is coming and the sun is starting to go down. Dinner time.
 Beautiful day at the beach.
We rushed back to the hotel so I could get pictures of the sun going down. I almost missed them. Got the very end of the sun setting.
 Beautiful Sunset.....
 Relax. . .
This time we brought would, newspaper and a lighter to have a fire on the beach. Oh yeah, Tom also brought an ax to chop the wood.
You can't have a fire without marshmallows and some wine to wash them down.
Last of the sunset for tonight.
Got the campfire started so we can roast marshmallows.
 Looking into the campfire.
Roasting the marshmallows. Best way is to let them catch on fire and turn black and burnt.
 YUM! ! ! ! !
The perfect roasted marshmallow. I woke up around 3:00am on Sunday morning and looked out at the ocean. I caught the moon shinning between the clouds and snapped the best pics I could.
 No words needed . . .
Time to go back home.. ;o(
