3: THE TIME OF THE CENOZOIC PERIOD IS: 250 TO 65 MILLION YEARS AGO IT WAS A TIME OF MANY CHANGES INCLUDING US EXISTING AND COMING TO LIFE. IT WAS AN ERA THAT HAD SHAPED OUR NATURAL ENVIRONMENT TODAY

4: ANIMALS

5: Animals of the Cenozoic era are known to be the parents of todays animals. An example is the mammoth who is the parent of todays so called animal the elephant. Another important change that occurred in the Cenozoic era is that it was the time mammals showed up and from within them us (humans) .

6: The asteroid impact had a very important role in having those animals live today. Another species that survived and still is found today is the bird species , who became very populated and diversified in shapes , color , and size in the Cenozoic era.

7: Marine life didn't diverse until our day. But marine life during the middle ages of the Cenozoic era was mostly dominated by huge sharks and whales.

8: CLIMATE

9: The climate changed from a tropical greenhouse to a world where 1/3 of the land masses were covered in deep glaciers.For the last 150 years, the climate has begun to gradually warm again.
