8: Job Shadow | Who: | Who: Esther Rathjen What: Registered Nurse When: April 29th Where: St. Elizabeth Burn Unit | Esthers job is to take care of serious burn victims in critical condition and patients in the wound center.
9: The day I shadowed Ester I got to see all aspects of a hospital team and how everything works. I watched Esther take care of sever burn patients, such as cleaning them and administering medication. The Highlight of the day was going into the tub room where they clean the patients. It was fascinating to see how burns affect a persons body. It was also very interesting to see the different level of hospital personnel and how they relate and treat each other. from the burn nurses to the burn and wound surgeon.
