FC: Romeo and Juliet Novel Study

2: The prologue tells us about two families that are fighting, about two lovers are doomed to fail. I think he tells us the ending to make it more exciting. | The story takes place in Verona, a little city. | i think number 5 is a hard one but now i now what it means.

3: Act 1 Scene 1 1. The feud is huge and it is aggressive and they get into lots of fights. The two families fight, as well as the servants and townspeople. | 2.To walk the wall is to like not want poo coming at you. 3. Biting your thumb is like flipping someone off and is disrespectful. Benvolio is a big tattle tale, he is honest, and he doesn’t like fighting. He is the opposite of Tybalt because Tybalt likes fighting and he’s very secretive. 5.The punishment for fighting is execution (getting killed), and this ironic because he needs to kill people to create peace.

4: 6.The Prince is so upset over the fighting because it makes his city more dangerous, it makes him look bad, and it makes the whole city unstable. 7.My first impression of Romeo is that he is a wimp and cries a lot. He is not into fighting – more about being in love. | He is super intense and goes for things full force (even though Rosaline hates him he still follows her around.) This shows us that Romeo is going to be too impulsive and passionate in the future.

But she doesn’t get to decide if she marries Paris. i dont think she wants to get marryed the nures is like ugley and slutey

6: 3. Mercutio may be gay, because he does not like women and he says some things to Romeo that make us think that. He is a party guy, he doesn’t believe in dreams, and he thinks love should be a fun thing and not make you sad. | Act 1 Scene 4 1 Romeo, Mercutio and Benvolio, with others, are going to crash the Capulet party. 2 Romeo is scared because he had a bad dream that he is going to die as a result of something that happens at this party.

7: ACT 1 SC 1 Romeo, Mercutio and Benvolio, with others, are going to crash the Capulet party. 2 Romeo is scared because he had a bad dream that he is going to die as a result of something that happens at this party. | Act 1 Scene 5 1.It is to give the actors time to change, and to provide laughter 2.Romeo is thinking about Rosalyn and then falls in love with Juliet 3.Tybalt wants to kill Romeo but Capulet doesn’t let him. 4.Romeo uses words to manipulate Juliet and just kisses her. 5.That Juliet say’s my grave is like my wedding bed, and she dies after her wedding.

Mercutio calls Tybalt the Prince of Cats and says Tybalt is better then the Prince of Cats. 3. Mercutio needs to be crude about Rosaline so then he is not jealous of her and Romeo. 4.Mercutio thinks the Nurse is there to solicit Romeo. 5. When you look at Romeo's lines they are neat and the Nurse's lines are not neat because she did not get a good education.

14: Act 3 Scene 2 1. The confusion in the scene is when the Nurse runs in screaming “He’s dead! He’s dead!” and she means Tybalt, but Juliet thinks it is Romeo. 2. Examples of antithesis are: “a damned saint”, “honorable villain”, “dove-feathered raven”, and “wolvish-ravening lamb”. She uses these opposites because she still loves him but she also is mad at him. 3.She is mad at him for getting banished and she spends the rest of the scene being depressed and whining about dying. 4.
