FC: The amazing steamboat

2: Through Their eyes

3: Around the time the steamboat was invented which was in the 1780s-1790s. George Washington was elected our first president in 1789. | Also around the time of the first steamboat the first census was taken in 1790. | Also during the time of the first steamboat Pennsylvania abolished slavery on March 1st 1780.

4: Because of the first president the people had a more organized nation than they had before and they had chose that from now on they vote for their leader not from a royal bloodline. Because of Pennsylvania the world had started | to abolish slavery little by little.

5: People that lived in the 1780s-1790s had to have skills and knowledge to survive and thrive. Some skills that people in the cities have to have are that they have to have skills to work in factories which included building parts and some people skills.

6: Skills that were needed to live in the rural areas and want to move west are farming, fishing, hunting, and resource management.

7: People back when the steamboat was invented thought that the steamboat was a great new invention and everyone wanted one or wanted to ride in one because they were so fascinated by its efficiency.

8: Cause and Effect

9: The reason the steamboat was invented was so that people and a fast and more efficient way to get around through the water.

10: The person who invented the steamboat was John Fitch. He invented it so people had a faster and more efficient way to get down canals and other waterways.

11: People that did not support the invention is no one because everyone wanted to have a more efficient way to get around.

12: The effects of the steamboat being made are people started moving away from large cities because it was now possible to get them supplies.

13: Turning points

14: The use of the steamboat changed peoples lives by letting people move around faster. It changed the community by having them not being in such a rush. It changed the world by it made transportation easier.

15: Since the choice of the steamboat we have built off of that into boats with motors and boats that take gas instead of oil.

16: Change and continuity

17: Some changes that happened with the steamboat since it was invented include the steamboat got bigger

18: Since its creation the general concept behind the steamboat has remained for the most part the same.

19: The main people that benefited from the creation of the steamboat are the people that had large monopolies or shares into the steamboat industry. An example of one of these people is Robert Fulton.

20: People that have not benefited from the steamboat are no one because it brought things that they needed and everyone loved them because they did almost everything they needed.

22: The steamboat has remained the same for the most part and they still use it today

23: The steam boat is different from the motor boat by the motor boat doesn't use coal and it is a smaller and more fast design.

24: The steamboat helps us to understand the 1800s by giving the people the opportunity to live farther away from major areas of commerce.
