BC: The Amazing Swedish Arts: Dancing, music, literature, and Art

FC: Swedish Arts

1: Swedish Dancing- Some Swedish dances include the Bugg, which has a strict pace. Also there is the Polka where you turn sideways very slowly. Also, most dances are done in Folk Costumes.

2: Swedish Music- Swedish traditional music is played by a specimen who usually plays at festivals. Polska is the most common tune of music. Hip Hop is a more recent type of music unlike, jazz, blues, and soul.

3: Swedish Art- Examples of Swedish art includes tiled stoves. They are very decorative, but used to be used for warmth. Another for of Art is woodcarving. They do woodcarving because they are surrounded by much forest.

4: Swedish Literature- Authors that are Swedish writers either write in Sweden or are from Sweden. Types of writing in Sweden include: Folk romanticism, urbane portraits, social criticism, and social realism.

5: Square Dancing in Sweden- Square dancing is one of the most popular forms of dance in Sweden. The first square dancing group learned the dance from a book. No one ever knew about square dancing before 1982 in Sweden. In this dance there was no negative image about older people dancing.

6: Swedish Music- Swedish music had also included more modern and pop influences. In the late 1980's and 1990's heavy metal became popular because of the international community. The fiddle is one of the most original Folk instruments. The fiddle has man different types including the latfiol.

7: Swedish Art Glass- Maleras old glass work was founded in 1890. Back in the day glass work was very spiritual.the glass objects they make are supposed to be like animals and plants.

8: Popular Swedish Singers- Baby Boom Baby Boom sings hip hop and is a new, popular singer. Vitrring Halla

9: Swedish Dance- The rimppa, the dance runs over sixteen bars. It includes a pair of two. The leaders right arm is behind the follower. For the end part of the dance (the last 8 bars) the dancers do the waltz.
