My grandmother was diagnosed with Leukemia not too long ago, and as I wrote this poem it made me realize this is how I should be living my life. I don't know how long I will have my grandma here with me, so I should make every moment with her count. | Phil Stone(Grandpa)

The description of a perfect sister made me think of my sister, Anna. We share all are deepest secrets, and we know each other better than anyone else. My sister is my best friend. I can't picture my life without her. I've had a lot of heart ache in my life and my sister was the one I turned to with all my problems. | Gregg Hudson(Dad)
The Dream Keeper By: Langston Hughes Bring me all your dreams, you dreamer, Bring me all your heart melodies That I may wrap them In a blue-cloud cloth Away from the too-rough fingers of the world
http://www.flowergirldressforless.com | As a young girl I always dreamed of being a Princess, but I know now the chances of that is very slim. This poem reminds me of all the dreams and goals I have set even if it's not becoming a Princess.
There's Still Hope By: Ashlee Hudson When I watch you Struggle through college Just barely getting by Thinking you have no purpose in life Your life like a broken record Or When i watch you staring at that computer screen Missing out on family activities Your life flying by like a shooting star Without a wish to some true I say When I watch you You're still my brother And we'll get through this together I stand up Beside you through all the trials and tribulations I stand up
I wrote this poem for my brother. He has had a rough childhood, and even though sometimes he might feel alone, I am always there for him whenever he needs me. My family is important to me and every family member in it. My big brother will always be my big brother even through all the arguing. I will always love him. | Gregg Hudson(Dad)
Snowball By: Shel Silverstein I made myself a snowball As perfect as could be. I thought I'd keep it as a pet And let it sleep with me. I made it some pajamas And a pillow for its head. Then last night it ran away, But First — it wet my bed.
This poem reminded me of when I lived in Utah, and the fun times I shared playing out in the snow with all my friends, and making snow mans and igloos. Whenever I would come inside after spending hours in the fluffy snow I would accidentally track in snow making a trail to my room for my mom to discover.
Where Did It All Go? By: Ashlee Hudson Where did it all go? The bond that we once shared The laughs the tears we both shed We held strong Through all the up and downs We became stronger Where did it all go? You embedded your name upon my heart And I did the same onto yours But in the end we both knew For one of us would have to get the strength And let one of us down gently Where did it all go? For love blinded us It's not that our love wasn't true But it was too real to be true Me leaving is what is best You'll thank me one day If I ever cross ways with you again I pray to God That I will be strong enough to look into your eyes and see you as a friend and not as a heart ache That I will rejoice in all your accomplishments Where did it all go? But most importantly Where did it all begin?
I once had an experience like I described on this poem. I fell for a guy, and acourse being so young we thought we were in "Love," but after two years of dating I realized I still have my whole life ahead of me, and that there are more important things I need to get done in my life than worry about a guy or a relationship. Love is blinding and that's what it was for me. My world came so evolved around him that my life slowly | chian-gsc.blogspot.com
Lean On Me Lyrics Songwriter: Bill Withers Lean on me, when you're not strong And I'll be your friend I'll help you carry on For it won't be long 'Til I'm gonna need Somebody to lean on Lean on me, when you're not strong And I'll be your friend I'll help you carry on For it won't be long 'Til I'm gonna need Somebody to lean on If there is a load you need to bear That you can't carry I'm right up the road I'll share your load If you just call me
Bethany Gardener(Friend) | I chose this song and part of its lyrics because it reminded me of my best friend Paiton. In 2010 I left my best friend Kylie Olson in Utah to move to Oklahoma. I thought I would never find another friend like her, but than I met Paiton, and I shared a bond with her like I did Kylie. I'm not saying that I replaced Kylie because that is impossible! I'm Just saying I've got someone here by my side.
God's Wheel By: Shel Silverstein GOD says to me with a kind of smile, "Hey how would you like to be God awhile And steer the world?" "Okay," says I, "I'll give it a try. Where do I set? How much do I get? What time is lunch? When can I quit?" "Gimme back that wheel," says GOD. "I don't think you're quite ready YET."
Love is patient.. Love is kind.. | bethetemple.com | I chose this poem because it is important to know that God will always have his hand in our lives, and that he knows whats best for us. He knows everything we're put through, and he is by our side along the way. God will provide the way.
Messy Room by Shel Silverstein Whosever room this is should be ashamed! His underwear is hanging on the lamp. His raincoat is there in the overstuffed chair, And the chair is becoming quite mucky and damp. His workbook is wedged in the window, His sweater's been thrown on the floor. His scarf and one ski are beneath the TV, And his pants have been carelessly hung on the door. His books are all jammed in the closet, His vest has been left in the hall. A lizard named Ed is asleep in his bed, And his smelly old sock has been stuck to the wall. Whosever room this is should be ashamed! Donald or Robert or Willie or-- Huh? You say it's mine? Oh, dear, I knew it looked familiar!
This poem reminds me so much of my room, and what I look like when I tell my mom I'm cleaning my room. I am not proud of it, but it made me realize that I need to make some changes in my personal life. | activerain.com
My Dog Ate My Homework By: Bruce Lansky My dog ate my homework. That mischievous pup got hold of my homework and gobbled it up. My dog ate my homework. It's gonna be late. I guess that the teacher will just have to wait. My dog ate my homework. He swallowed it whole. I shouldn't have mixed it with food in his bowl.
Janette Hudson(Mom) | This poem reminded of the time when my dog Molly Brown was a puppy, and enjoyed tearing up everything that belonged to me from clothes to whatever she could get her mouth on. Thank goodness she has grown out of that stage.
