1: The causes of the great depression where from the crash of the stock market, the equal distribution of money, the shutting down of the banks, due to people using money on credit and not being able to pay it back, which in turn made the economy unstable, and businesses closing because no one can afford to to buy products., This was known as the worst economic slump. The great depression happened in the 1920's.
3: The great depression lasted for a decade or ten years.
4: Life in the city was at its worst, many people were unemployed and poverty set in. Men fought over garbage cans that were put out by restaurants with food that was not used or people did not finish eating. The farmers are not any better, they can not sell their products or they have to sell it at a lower price they did not sell it at all.
6: The poor people where affected more then the rich people .They had money saved for a rainy day and the poor were unable to save money. The poor where unable to pay the mortgage and lost their home and was know forced to live on the streets.
7: The great depression ended when the nation increased production of war materials.
