A Wonderful Man If ever there was a kind man his name he bears to me is Ervin Clyde, an old time name but special so you see This Ervin Clyde could fix most things a genius that was he for ne'er a broken car was safe his hands they held the key Oh, how great those hands would make donuts on a try or whip together eggs and flour for someone's special day This Ervin Clyde had lists of skills not much he couldn't do his knowledge was to fil the bill and a grandpa, friend times two The thoughts of him are fondest had by Grandma, kids and Bud no other man or gent or lad impacts us with a thud This story's ending is quite sad he lays to rest at peace It never really makes me mad I miss him if you please | 2

A wonderful uncle A backyard tutor he is to me Green grasses mowed it is lovely to see or trapping for furs and a walk in the woods or back driving to town with all our goods. A hard working man this uncle of mine Still even finds time to wet a line. he arrives home from work and now time for fun. Off the the lake where fishing is done. A grandpa adored by six little tykes. His wide open arms are things that they like. Helping his mother a kindness he shows, and her lawn he mows. A bucking rodeo he will never miss Even when kicked by a bull; the ground he did kiss. Pickles an chili are his favorite meal. A bowl shared with Joey seals the deal. the second oldest of the Bertram boys. Owns 4-wheeler, boats, and lawn mower toys. He's tougher than nails pounded into the wood. He works all day long and feels nothin' but good. Relaxing at night his computer games he plays. He retires to sleep and there he lays. | 3

A great friend Today in may i pray What fun the sunshine brings Us all such wonderful things.. thus she need not fish She really is a dish. I need to earn money to go on a date Because being with her is something great. Time spent with her is really grand Makes me want to play in a pepband. She walks with me on a windy path We walk and joke and have a laugh. In her mind I am a stud as she 4-wheels. As getting her was a breeze She makes me want to please.. And he who tries Wins the wonderful prize. | 5

An Unusual Deer Season Deer season 2007 had an unusual end. It started out a cold winter day with the usual procedure of getting to the stand.. The trail was easy enough to twist through thick brush of blackberry bushes. Snow had fallen the night before which made it slippery climbing up the tree. The damp air pierced my hands like ice cold water on a metal ladder. The past two days of hunting had not provided the family with any venison. with the changing of the weather we may have changed our luck but didn't know what kind of luck that was. Hunting was slow so we decided to move the portable stand. Holding the stand incorrectly resulted in a near death fall. With hands clinging to branches, hunting took on it's latest problem. The tree branch gave out and he fell to the ground, missing a dangerous spike-looking tree stump. Crawling to the truck followed by his own blood trail, he endured all the pain of a shot beast. Luck changed once more for this hunter as the doctor not only found the broken spine segments in his back but the aneurysm that may have taken his life. | 6

Summer In summertime when the red sky looks like a bright red apple and the dew sets droplets beneath our feet, the smell of cut grass reminds me of joyful childhood memories. Bugs are caught in your mouth like the wind shield on your car and the campfire crackles like popcorn. The silvery moon shines as brightly as a student with an A plus. | 7
