The main reason why we declared war on Japan is because they bombed pearl harbor. | After Roosevelt heard of what happened at pearl harbor on December 7, 1941 he ask congress if they would approve of starting a war with Japan. They agreed, and Roosevelt was ready to start the War with Japan but not long after U.S. declared war on japan, Italy, and Germany declared war on us the U.S.
2: When did the U.S. get involved in World War II? World War II really started on September 1, 1939, when Nazi, Germany invaded Poland. But the U.S. didn't enter until the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. And the next day we declared war on Japan.

A lot of the countries used the same weapons but put their own twist on then. | They made them more powerful, so that they could take out a greater amount of people. The greatest weapon made in World War II had to be the Atomic Bomb, the U.S. made two one called Little Boy that was dropped over Hiroshima, Japan. And another called Fat Man over Nagasaki, Japan.
7: Identify and explain the significance of "Rosie the Riveter". "Rosie the Riveter", was a culture icon in United States during World War II. She was on posters and in films trying to encourage woman to go to work, and support the war efforts. Do to the fact that many woman had to go and work in manufacture plants to produce ammunition for the soldiers fighting in World War II. Rosie was the motivation the American women needed to do the job. She showed them that they could do just as good of job as men. And many did, they did get paid a little less than men did but still got a decent amount.
9: How did World War II end the Great Depression? Because it added so many more jobs. the Army needed ammunition and that had to be made by factories, which factories had to be run by people. So it supplied a lot of jobs in which people could get back on their feet. It also helped that before we were involved in World War II we were selling Ammunition to other countries for money so that helped too.
