1: The United States had originally tried to stay out of WWII, but an unprovoked attack on US ships docked at Pearl Harbor on Dec. 6 1941 by Japanese bombers caused the US to declare war.
2: USMC | On 1 September 1939, Hitler and the Nazis faked a Polish attack on a minor German radio station in order to justify a German invasion of Poland. An hour later Hitler declared war on Poland stating one of his reasons for the invasion was because of "the attack by regular Polish troops on the Gleiwitz transmitter." This was the beginning of WWII

6: For the most part, from WWI to WWII the weapons remained the same but with advances in technology. Bombs, tanks, cannons, and hand held weapons became more explosive, accurate, and deadly.
9: Rosie the Riveter was a caricature and a symbol of the working women who helped with the war effort by working in factories and assembly lines.
10: When the war ended and the soldiers came home, they helped to fill in the gap they left when the war started. Also the need for supplies to rebuild after the war opened the opportunity for more jobs.
