S: The First Year Of Andy
FC: Andrew Rau
"A baby will make love stronger, days shorter, nights longer, bankroll smaller, home happier, clothes shabbier, the past forgotten, and the future worth living for" | Andrew Patrick Rau Born: 6/17/2010 @ 9:27pm Weighing: 6 lb 15 oz
Quiet moments when peace rolls over the world and he turns into a little angel make it all worth it!
There is nothing like a child to bring a family together. Roo and Max may claim otherwise but time will prove them wrong. | We have felt more love and seen more family than ever in our home despite not having a house.
"People who say they sleep like a baby usually don't have one." | Andy welcomed his new world with wide eyes, an active tongue and lots of grins... Transient it might be, but adventure it became.
"Babies Are Life's Most Precious Gift"
"Twinkle twinkle little star; do you know how loved you are?"
To small to mobilize on his own Andy sat back and enjoyed the ride. Give him a seat with a view and some wind blowing through his hair and a happier boy could not be found. By five months of age the little traveler had already checked off twelve states and Canada(once legal, once not).
"What A Life. Eating Sleeping Playing... And Driving Somewhere Again ... Seriously?"
It takes a healthy, adventuresome, soul to put up with us and what luck... Andy thrives on it!
Always the little show off and rarely shy. Andy loves getting reactions from people and companionship trumps solitude any day.
Snow Snow Snow... Walk Walk Walk... Yell Yell Yell... Eat Eat Eat...
There is nothing better than some recycled toys and a big hammer. So what if you cannot lift it yet? What age range is a sledge hammer designed for anyway?
Spring? Doubt It, Is there a backup paddle in here dad?
All the moments.. "Sweet, so this is how the dogs get outside. See you chumps later." | "Down was great.. you think I can climb back up?"
"It's The Little Things In Life That Matter Most" "Mom... my chin is cold!"
What Is That? | Do You Mind?
"He sure would like to get his paws on that tasty little morsel... Just kitting Mom, I'm sure he want to cuddle"
The hidden blessing of homelessness has been freedom and time to connect with friends and family. We fit a decades worth of adventure into Andy's first year. From the Utah desert to homes of parents and on to the endless North Dakota winter there was never a lack of activity and company.
After so many bumps & bruises the dream of walking is coming true..
With mom home so much and always building me car ramps and forts it couldn't be better.
Spring! Here at last. You would think the ice would be off the lake by May, but at least parts of the trail were dry.
