4: We fell in love with our wonderful Manny as we held you in our arms; your pouty bottom lip and soft fuzzy ears were two of your many charms.
5: That first week passed so quickly; it was time for Daddy to go. You and Mommy flew back to Kansas where Grandma and Grandpa would watch you grow.

7: "What a set of powerful lungs!" We thought of your strong cries. But you melted our hearts with your perfect smiles and precious, loving eyes. | o b e r
8: Your shirt said "Batty for Mommy," but we girls were all batty for you!
9: You were never short on hugs and kisses; we couldn't keep our hands off you! | Halloween

12: Amidst the Christmas festivities, you discovered your little feet. You hit the big city and quickly became the Canty Clan's favorite treat.
14: You loved to giggle and practice sitting, and loved to munch on your toes. You loved when Grandpa sang "Puff" to you; to sleep you'd gradually go.
16: Dada missed you like crazy; he always wanted to see how you were growing, what you were learning, and who you were beginning to be.
17: You and Mommy were closest companions; I called you my "Buddy Man." | You were loved and loved and loved and loved by four of your biggest fans. | February
18: Your personality just kept blossoming. You were becoming so much fun, just in time for Daddy's homecoming! His deployment was almost done.
20: The day was here; It was finally here! We couldn't wait to reunite! Daddy walked off the plane and beamed with pride. You were such a wonderful sight.
22: You two became best buddies; together you'd always be. He loved to tickle your yummy soft tummy; we were at last a family.
24: As May progressed you suddenly became quite the little sponge.
25: May | You tried new foods and learned to crawl; right into the wipes box you'd plunge.
27: And then we discovered you'd be a big brother; in December we'd add one more! We were elated to add to our family of three to become a family of four.
29: In June you learned to dance, dance, dance! No moment was ever bland. We hit the beach where Daddy surfed and you gobbled up handfuls of sand. | June
30: Our Carolina summer was over; We packed you up and moved to KC.
31: You learned to walk, you played outside, you could finally roam free!
32: You were a curious little toddler; with Grandma and Grandpa you'd have a ball.
33: August | We babyproofed everything to keep up with our cyclone who stood just over two feet tall.

35: Your first year passed so quickly; our baby was turning one! We couldn't believe it; the cliché was true. Time flies when you're having fun!
36: As autumn approached, you browsed the pumpkins at the Louisburg Cider Mill. | October
37: You loved your time with Grandma and Grandpa and thought the corn maze was a thrill.
38: You loved avocados, blueberries, spaghetti; of course, pizza was another fave.
39: You loved to sweep and loved the broom and seemed to learn a new word each day.
40: You climbed into, onto, over, and through every imaginable space.
41: A monkey costume for Curious Cam would have given you a happier face!
42: Daddy joked that you belonged in Tales from the Crypt with your crazy hair.
43: November | But the trim didn't go so smoothly; in fact, it was quite the traumatic affair.
46: For Thanksgiving we flew to Boston to see the Canty side of the fam. Duke chased you around Grandpa's big back yard; he stole your sticks right out of your hand.
49: , As we reflected on the year that had passed, we felt beyond blessed that you were our son. | We loved you more than words could express and couldn't wait for the adventures to come.
