4: Preparing for Baby | Dad painted the nursery and worked very hard to restore Grandma's rocking chair. Looks Awesome!
5: Aunt Jessica, Sara Henke, Carla Mansky, & Kristina Risler threw mom a baby shower April 17, 2010 | Many wonderful ladies came to the shower and many gifts were very much appreciated.. ...lots of books too!
6: Mom and Dad arrived at the hospital about 3:30 AM with contractions 3-4 minutes apart. Mom wasn't making any progress and your heart rate dropped dramatically. By 7:10 AM it was decided there would be an emergency C-Section and our precious baby was born at 7:49 AM, June 14th (Flag Day!) | Weight - 7lbs, 15 oz | Length - 20 inches
7: Mason's Birth at Sacred Heart Hospital | Because of the complications at delivery, an x-ray was taken. Dr. Jensen wasn't sure, but it looked like there was a mass on your lung. Mom & Dad decided you would be taken by ambulance to Children's Hospital in St. Paul, MN for further analysis. Mom & Dad each got to hold you for a few minutes and because we weren't sure what was going on, we decided to have you baptized by Fr. Klimek. Grandma & Grandpa Grant and Grandma & Grandpa Baxter arrived just in time so see you before the Neonatal team prepared you for your ride to St. Paul.
8: "A Baby's Love Is Best Of All" | Children's Hospital, St. Paul. Daddy got to take care of you for the first couple days with a little help from Grandma & Grandpa.. Thankfully, there was just a little fluid on your lungs and you were released after 2 days!
9: It was very emotional for both Mom and Dad once we were able to all be together again.. A Mother can't describe the feelings you have when you can't be with the ones that you love. We spent one more night in the hospital and we all were able to go home the next day (June 17.) | Our Family back together at Sacred Heart Hospital

12: The first week at home was filled with many wonderful things. A few visitors came, some even brought meals for dinner which was wonderful! We celebrated Brit's B-day with DQ cake and pizza and you got to see your cousins for the 1st time. We also spent the 1st week snuggling a lot and enjoying the time with our little one. Dad got a few presents for Father's Day, but the best of all was having you to cuddle with.

15: You got to do many things the first couple weeks of your life. We were so fortunate to have a healthy and happy little boy which allowed us to visit the ones that we love. Our first visit with Great Grandma Mary was very special, she loved holding you and hated to see us leave. We also made your first trip to Potato lake to see Grandma & Grandpa Baxter at their camper. Aunt Jessica and Braylee were also visiting so we got to see them too!! You got to see Dr. Jensen for your first checkup which went really well. Dr. Jensen was at the hospital when you were delivered and he helped to get you breathing, we can't thank him enough for all he did! Lots of Summer events kept us busy. We spent the 4th of July at Jeff & Liz's cabin up North and had a blast with our great friends. Ryan and Drew came to visit for a weekend and Shaun and Shelly and the kids were able to stop by as well. We also celebrated Great Grandma Mary's 97th birthday at Aunt Jess's house and got a great group picture of the 4 generations.

17: "Babies Are Life's Most Precious Gift" | Early Fall we went to Minneapolis to visit Dad's family for the Dolphins-Vikings game and also to celebrate Grandma Helen's 60th B-day! | You absolutely loved your 1st time swimming & also going to Underwater World at Mall of America!

24: "A Baby's Love Is Best Of All" | Thanksgiving 2010. Mommy and Daddy both hunted, but neither of them saw any deer.
25: We got to see Santa at Pleasant Valley Tree Farm after we picked out our Christmas tree. We also saw Santa at the OLS Christmas Concert! The house and the tree got decorated just in time before 22 inch of snow fell on Dec 11, 2010. | Getting Prepared for Christmas, 2010!!
26: Your 1st Christmas was truly amazing! We traveled to Berthold, ND to spend time with Dad's family. You received lots of fun presents from everyone and were so excited to be able to see the cows and drive the Big Tractor! Grandma & Grandpa even gave you your own cow. We were able to celebrate with Mom's family the weekend of New Year's when we opened even more presents! Grandma & Grandpa gave you a really cool wagon with wooden sides, but your favorite present of all was the "Cars" car from Aunt Jessica's family! | 2010

45: The 4th of July weekend started out at Bunch's cabin with great friends. High winds on Friday night caused major damage to the area. With no electricity, we were forced to cut the weekend short, but not before trying out the water toys including Liz's new pontoon!! We also got to celebrate the 4th at Freedom Fest in Menomonie! | July, 2011
46: Playing outside is your favorite thing to do. This summer we spent a lot of time in the garden, sliding, swinging, lawn mowing, going to local festivals & hanging out with family!
48: Mom brought you to the Eau Claire Apple Orchard with Carla, Kristina, Ava & Evan September 24, 2011. You decided to try the apples straight from the tree before picking them to make sure they tasted good! | -

52: Pleasant Valley Pumpkin Patch with Erica, Josh & Ethan on 10/2/2011. There were lots of pumpkins, a petting zoo, a jungle gym & even apple launching. After our fun morning at the pumpkin patch we went home and watched the Packers beat the Bears!!
55: Halloween was "spook"tacular this year!! We dressed you up as a Dragon and we went to Paul Bunyan's museum to play with Tanya and Greta. Lavonne also threw a wonderful Halloween party for all of her daycare kids and families, we even decorated a pumpkin at the party!

57: We celebrated Thanksgiving , 2011 in North Dakota with Grandma & Grandpa Grant and the rest of Dad's family. The best part was that we were all together and we got to open our Christmas presents early!! We even got to see Santa Clause at Aunt Becky's work! Grandpa & Dad also took you out in the tractor to see your cow.
59: Preparing for Christmas, 2011
61: We celebrated Christmas this year with Mom's family. Christmas Eve we had a great dinner at Grandma & Grandpa's house. After dinner we went to the Children's Mass and then off to Aunt Jess's. We awoke at 5 A.M. Christmas morning to see what Santa had brought. The excitement in you & your cousin's eyes while opening presents was unforgettable!
