FC: School Memories By Maria Barragan.
Introduction During my past years of education I was very happy going to school. I liked meeting my friends everyday and joking around in break time. I usually liked to learn new things but sometimes I got bored and started talking. I remember I got good grades but hated waking up in the morning. | This is my School in Romania
I remember I never wanted to sleep in nap time, and my teacher used to take me outside in the playground and give me a yogurt that I didn't like. | I remember a few memories of kindergarden. I remember the first time I went to school. My mom left me in school and it was break time, so I stayed but when break time finished I wanted to go home and I started crying. | My first day of school | Doing homework
In first grade I moved to Madrid. My teacher was called Araceli. I thought she was really mean and I didn’t like her. First Grade was very easy for me because my mum taught me during the summer, everything that I was supposed to know throughout the year. I knew everything that was being taught so my teacher made me her “helper”, and I corrected the work of my classmates. I used to correct unfairly the work of people I didn’t like. At the end of the year, we went to the farm. We ate raw onion, but I didn’t like it because it made me cry. I remember we had sausages for lunch, but I didn’t like them either. I also remember that they let us each hold a bunny, that was my favorite part of the whole trip. | My school in Madrid
In second grade I had the same teacher but I still didn't like her. I didn't like school that year because I actually had to work. | Every Year during Carnival our school would choose a theme and every grade would have to dress according to the theme. Then we would do a parade around the city. That year, the theme was "Under the Sea" and everyone in second grade had to dress as a fish. It was a lot of fun. I remember going to many plays and museums in second grade.
I remember in third grade, I told a joke in front of the whole school and no one laughed, it was one of the most embarrassing moments of my life. | When I moved to third grade I was very happy because I changed my teacher. My new teacher was called Rosa Eugenia. At first, I didn't like her but once I got to know her I changed my mind about her. She was very fun. She always used to give us stickers and candy every time we read a book. | This was an end of year play. I performed the sun
In fourth grade I moved to Italy. I went to an international school, however I remember being the only foreigner, everyone else was Italian. I didn't know how to speak English or Italian, so for the first few months I couldn't talk to anyone, or understand anything anyone said. I didn't like school. | Once I learnt English and Italian, I started to like school. I got many new friends. I remember going to a theme park called Movieland at the end of the year. It was great fun. | Trip to an Egyptian museum.
In 5th grade, everything was a lot of fun. I really liked being the last grade of elementary. I remember our class was organized into tables, and each table got “stars” every time we would behave well. However my table never got the “stars” because we talked a lot. | I remember a kid in fifth grade, stuck his head between two pillars and the school had to call the firemen so they could cut the pillars off. I remember doing a play on the 70’s and dancing to an Elvis Presley song. At the end of the year we went to a theme park called Gardaland. This was an even funner trip than Movie land.
In sixth grade I moved to Romania. I remember that I played the drums in band. I really liked my band teacher, Mr. Randy. He made things really fun. I remember in French class I used to get out with my friend Benedetta, usually because we wouldn’t stop talking. I really liked school in sixth grade; everything was a lot of fun. | A picture me and my friends took of our shoes.
In seventh grade I remember many memories. Our grade went on a trip to the mountains, it was great fun. The only thing I didn’t like about the trip was the food and the fact that I didn’t get to stay in the group with my friend Lamis. In school I always used to sit with my friend Diana, we had a lot of fun together. At the end of the year my best friend Lamis left and I was very sad. | Me and my friends
