1: May 18, 1921 ~ August 3, 2009 | This book was made in loving memory of | Dollie Hope Seal

2: Mix and let stand a few minutes 1 cup quick oats 1 cup buttermilk 1/2 cup brown sugar 1 beaten egg 1/3 cup cooking oil stir in until just mixed, and then add 1 cup flour 1/2 tsp soda 2tsp baking powder 1tsp salt Bake about 20 minutes 375 degrees. Makes 1 dozen muffins | 1 1/4 C All purpose flour ~ 1/2 C of sugar ~ 1/4 C salt 1 T Baking powder ~ 1 1/2 C Kelloggs All Bran 1/4 C milk ~ 1 egg ~ 1/4 C vegetable oil 1. stir together flour, sugar, salt & baking powder & set aside 2. In large mix bowl combine, All bran cereal and milk. Let stand 3 minutes. Add egg and oil, mix well. Add flour mixture, stirring only until combined. Portion batter evenly into 12 lightly greased muffin cups. 3. Bake 400 degrees 20 mins. makes 12 | All Bran Muffins | Oatmeal Muffins | Grandma & Virginia

3: Cheese Strata | 12 slices white bread (frozen) 3/4# American cheese (sliced) 1 10oz bag of frozen broccoli (cooked) 2 cups diced ham 6 beaten eggs 3 1/2 cups milk 2 tbsp instant minced onion 1/2 tsp salt 1/4 tsp dry mustard Remove crust from bread. Cut circle out of middle of bread, and use the craps in bottom of 9x13 pan layer cheese, broccoli & ham over bread scraps. Arrange cut out circles on top add egg mixture and refrigerate overnight. Cook uncoverved at 325 for 55 min Sprinkle extra cheese on top as desired. | Yellow Corn Meal 1 cup yellow corn meal 1 cup flour 1 tbsp baking powder 1/4 cup sugar 1 tsp salt 1 cup of milk 1/3 cup oil 1 egg slightly beaten bake for 15 mins 400 degrees

4: 7 Kinds Dry | Use at least 7 varieties of beans; Great Northern, Navy, Black Turtle, Pinto, Red, Pink, & Kidney. YelLow & Green Split peas. Rinse, beans place in large kettle. Cover with water and soak overnight or for 3 or 4 hours. Drain, add 2 quarts water, ham or sausage. Simmer 2 1/2 to 3 hours. Add onion, garlic, chili powder, tomatoes and lemon juice. Simmer another 45 minutes. Add salt and pepper as desired. Yields 2 Quarts. | Bean Soup | 2 cups mixed dried beans 2 cups diced ham or sliced smoked sausage 1 clove garlic, minced 1 28oz.can of tomatoes 1/2 Tablespoon salt 2 QTS water 1 lg onion 1 TSP chili powder 1-2 TBSP lemon juice Salt & pepper as desired. | Grandma at house on Bridge Street

5: 5 medium carrots cut in 1 in. chunks 3 medium celery stalks, sliced 3 lg onions, chopped 1 lg garlic cloves (minced) 2 cans (28 oz) ea tomato juice 1 sm head cabbage 2 med. parsnips 2 pkgs 5oz sliced spinach leaves 1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley 2 chicken flavor boullion cubes 1 tspn salt 1/2 tspn pepper Coat 8 oz saucepot w/ non-stick spray 12 cups water Add more salt & pepper, if needed. | Diet | Soup

6: 1 lg can frozen orange juice 1 lg can frozen lemonade 1 can of pineapple juice 3 cups sugar 2 cups water Bring sugar & water to boil. Add 2 bottles of 7up (lg) . Add 6 mashed bananas | 1 lg can frozen orange juice 1 sm. can frozen lemon juice 1 lg can pineapple juice 1 cup sugar 2 cups boiling water 1 bottle ginger ale Add 1 pkg frozen strawberries | Bealah Punch | Strawberry Jello Punch | Hot Coco Mix | 2 cups powdered milk 1 cup powdered sugar pinch of salt 1/3 cup powdered creamer 1/4 cup cocoa mix together & store in dry container.

8: Grandma, Jen & A.J. | 2 2/3 cup crushed pretzels 3 tbsp sugar 3/4 cup margarine mix above & press into 9x13 pan, bake for 10 mins. Cool. 8 oz cream cheese 1 cup sugar 1 small cool whip Cream together & spread on cooled pretzels. | Pretzel Salad

9: 1 lg pk Strawberry Jello 1 lg pk Cream Cheese 1 lg can of pears In a blender put jello & 2 cups of hot water & blend. Add cream cheese & blend. Add pears & blend. Lastly add pear juice & pour in 9 x 13 pan. | Grandma Dollie | Pear Jello Salad | 10 Mins | 8~12 | Tapioca Pudding | 1/3 cup sugar 3 tbsp minute tapioca 2 3/4 cup milk 1 egg 1 teaspoon vanilla Mix together sugar, tapioca, milk & egg. Let stand 5 mins. add vanilla and beat until well mixed. Heat until thickens.

11: Cabbage Salad 1 head of cabbage 8 onions, chopped 1/4 cups of sesame seeds 1/4 cups sliced almond nuts vinegar dressing w/ seasoning from 1 pk top ramen noodles, Crumble up noodles put with cabbage. | 2 cups of ground cranberries 2 cups of sugar 2 pkgs lemon jello 2 cups of hot water 2 cups of pineapple juice 2 cups crushed pineapple, drained 1 cups broken walnuts cut up 2 cups chopped celery | Cranberry | Salad

12: 1 box powdered sugar 1 stick of margarine 1/2 cup of crunchy peanut butter 1/4 c milk 1 t. vanilla combine first 4 ingredients and cook in microwave for 5 minutes. Beat mix until smooth. Add vanilla & beat again & pour into 9 x 9 dish. Refrigerate & cut in squares. | 1 cube margarine or butter 1 cup peanut butter (creamy) Add a little as you desire (cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon, or whatever you like) worchestershire dribble over mix and mix well. Heat in oven for 15 to 20 minutes stirring occasionally. Can add nut, pretzels or whatever. Heat the butter and peanut butter in sauce pan, till well mixed and warm - do not boil - add spice of your choice. | Cereal Holiday Mix | Peanut Butter Fudge | Great Grandma Seal, Eddie, | Thelma, G & G

13: 5 -6 med cooked sweet potatoes 1/2 cup margarine 2/3 cup pineapple juice 2/3 cup brown sugar 1 egg 1/2 tsp cinnamon 1/4 tsp nutmeg 1/4 tsp salt 1 cup chopped nuts Pastry pie for single crust In a 9inch pie plate, layer crust and poke with a few fork holes. Cook for 10 mins at 400 degrees. Fill cooked pie shell with mixture, top with nuts and cook for an additional 20 minutes at 350. | Sweet Potato Pie

14: 1 1/4 cup flour 1 cup sugar 1 tsp soda 1//2 tsp salt- sift together 1 beaten egg 1 lg can fruit cocktail 1 tsp vanilla Bake in buttered pan 9 x 13 for 45 minutes @ 325 degrees. Sprinkle 1 cup brown sugar 1 cup cracked nuts on top of batter. | Cocktail Cake | Dollie Seal | Ham Balls | 1 lb ground ham 1 1/2 lbs pork sausage 2 cups bread crumbs 2 beaten eggs 1 cup milk Combine all ingrediants & form balls 1 cup brown sugar 1 tsp dry mustard 1/2 cup vinegar 1/2 cup water Mix & stir until sugar disolves, pour over balls & bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour 325 1 hour 36 balls

15: " | Salmon Loaf | 1 large can of salmon 1 can of creamed corn 1 cup cracker crumbs salt & pepper to taste 2 beaten eggs 1 cup sweet milk 1 tbsp melted butter Beat eggs, add ingrediants, butter casserole dish, bake 60 mins or until set, top with butter & cornflakes | Pickled Beets | 3 qts cooked beets 1 cinnamon stick 1 tbsp mustard seed 2 cups sugar 1/2 tsp whole cloves 2 cups vinegar 2 cups beet liquid 1 tsp salt Cook 15 mins in syrup, & pack in hot jars | Made with Love

16: 1 can of tomato soup 1 cup of raisins 2 tsp cinnamon 2 cups flour 1/2 cup nuts (optional) 1/2 can water 2 tsp all spice 1 tsp soda 1 cup sugar Mix well- Spread on greased and floured pan. Bake 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Cool & frost. | Baked Goods | Frosting: 1/2 cup of Crisco, 1/2 cup of butter, 1 cup sugar, 3 Tbsp flour, 1 tsp vanilla, 2/3 cup milk. Beat very well & spread on bars. | Tomato Soup Bars | Grandma holding baby Eddie

17: 4 1/2 cups of flour 1/2 tsp. soda 1 tsp salt 1/4 cup of sugar 1 1/2 cup of scalted buttermilk 1/2 cup of shortening 2 yeast cakes Sift flour, soda, salt, sugar together. Add buttermilk & shortening. Dissolve yeast in 1/4 cup warm water, stir in flour mixture. Let stand 10 minutes. Knead on floured surface, shape into rolls, let stand until double in bulk . Bake @ 400 to 425 degrees | Buttermilk Rolls | Angel Biscuits | 5 cups flour 3/4 cup shortening 1 tsp soda 1 tsp salt 3 tbsp sugar 1 pkg pwdrd yeast 1/2 cup warm water 2 cups buttermilk Bake 400 degrees about 12 mins

18: 2 cups sugar 1 cup butter 2 eggs beaten 2 lg bananas mashed 1/2 cup sour milk 1 cup boiling water 1/2 cup cocoa 2 1/2 cup of flour 2 Tbsp Baking soda 1/4 tsp salt Cream sugar & butter, blend in eggs & bananas. Sift dry ingredients alternately w/sour milk. Add 1 cup boiling water. Batter is going to be real thin Bake in a 9 x 13 pan. 300 degrees for 50 minutes | Hot Water Banana Bread | Lemon Loaf | 2 tbsp margarine, 1 cup sugar 2 eggs, 1 1/2 cup flour, 1/2 tsp salt 1 1/2 tsp baking powder, rind of lemon 1/2 cup chopped walnuts, 1/2 cup milk Bake 1 hr at 350. Leave in pan, pour over 1 lemon juice & 1/4 cup sugar. Let Stand.

19: 1/2 cup sugar 1/2 tsp salt 1 tsp cinnamon 1/4 tsp cloves 1/4 nutmeg 2 tbsp water Combine ingredients in saucepan. Cook over medium heat to 225 degrees and stir in nuts ~ 1/2 cup walnuts, 1/2 cup pecans. Remove from heat & stir until mixture doesn't remain glossy. Put on baking sheet & separate. Let air & then eat. | Spiced | Nuts | 1 1/2 cup flour, 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp baking soda, 1 C sugar 1/2 tsp cinnamon, 1/2 tsp nutmeg, 1/4 tsp baking powder, 1 egg, 1 C shredded unpeeled zuchini, 1/4 C cooking oil, 1/2 C walnuts, 1/4 tsp shredded lemon peel Mix together, pour in a 8x4 loaf pan Bake for 55 mins | Zucchini Nut Bread | Janet & Eddie | G & G | G & G

20: 5 slices bacon, diced 2 tsp sugar 1 tsp salt 6 cups chopped cabbage cut in 2 inch squares 3 cups cooked wide noodles 1 cup sour cream paprika Sautee bacon until crisp in large frying pan. Remove bacon; set aside. Stir sugar and salt into bacon drippings. Add chopped cabbage, stirring until cabbage is coated with bacon drippings. Cover and cook 7 to 10 minutes. Then add cooked noodles and bacon bits , stirring to blend & adjust seasoning to taste. Spoon into 2 quart casserole dish & cover tightly and bake @ 325 degrees for 45 minutes. Take out and spread sour cream over the top and sprinkle with paprika, return to oven for 5 minutes or more. | Hungarian Cabbage | with Noodles | Carmel Corn | 1/2 cup light syrup 1/2 cup brown sugar 1/4 cup margarine 1/4 tsp salt Combine in a microwave safe dish, cook on high heat for 4 mins, stirring twice add: 1/4 tsp baking soda & 1 tsp vanilla stir til foamy. Put popcorn in a paper grocery bag, pour mixture over and stir with a spoon. Cook in bag at full power for 2 mins. Shake, repeat for 2 -3 more minutes, shaking bag every 30 seconds, spread and cool on cookie sheet.

21: 5-6 med. cooked sweet potatoes 1/2 c. margarine or butter 2/3 c. pineapple juice 2/3 c. brown sugar 1 egg 1/2 tsp cinnamon 1/4 tsp nutmeg 1/4 tsp salt 1 c. chopped nuts Pastry for single crust 9in. pie Bake 400 degrees for 10 minutes | Cherokee Corn Rice Casserole 1 lb Hamburger 3/4 cup chopped onion 1 1/2 tsp salt 1/8 tsp pepper dash of garlic powder 1/8 tsp oregano 1/2 small bay leaf 1 pint cooked tomatoes 1 can of mushroom soup 1/2 cup of regular rice ( uncooked) 1 can of corn 1/2 cup shredded cheese 4 stuffed olives Cook @ 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until you think it's done. | Sweet Potato Pie

22: Red Cabbage with Apples & Red Wine 2 Tbsp regular uncooked rice 1 red cabbage, shredded 1 onion, chopped 1 apple, peeled, cored & chopped 1/2 cup red wine vinegar 1 1/2 cups red wine or cranberry juice 3 Tbsp concord grape jelly salt & pepper 400 degrees oven for 2 hours, place rice on bottom of large ungreased casserole in separate bowl, stir together all other ingredients and pour over rice. | Made with PURE LOVE! | Combine all meat loaf ingredients and shape into an 8 x 8 inch pan. Make a crater-like depression that runs the length of the loaf. Combine the sauce ingredients and pour into the depression. Bake 350 degrees for 1 hour. | Loaf: Sauce: 1 cup soft bread crumbs 1/2 cup applesauce 1/2 cup applesauce 1 tsp brown sugar 1 lb hamburger 1 1/2 tsp vinegar 1 egg, slightly beaten 1/2 dijon mustar 1/4 cup chopped celery 2 tbsp onion 1 tsp Dijon-style mustard 1/2 tsp salt | Applesauce Meatloaf

23: Zucchini Stuffing Casserole 4 med. Zucchini sliced (thick) 2 lg carrots grated 2 lg onions chopped 1 box stove top dressing (6 oz sz chicken flavor) 1 can cream of chicken soup 1 cup of sour cream 4 tbsp grated cheese for topping Cook carrots and onions in small amount of salt water until just tender. Add sliced or diced zucchini, cook 3 min. longer DRAIN WELL. In large sauce pan melt 4 tbsp butter ( or margarine) Add chicken soup and small pkg from stuffing mix. Blend together and heat mix just warm. Mix well. Gently fold in vegetables. Place in oiled casserole pan or dish. Top with grated cheese. Bake 350 degrees. 30 to 40 minutes. | Broccoli / Corn Bake | 16 oz can cream of corn 1 beaten egg 10 oz frozen broccoli (cooked & drained) 1/2 cup saltine crackers 1 tbsp onion 2 tbsp melted better 1/2 tsp salt combine above, put in casserole dish. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup cracker crumbs and 1 tbsp melted butter. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 35 mins

24: Cream: 1 cup of shortening, 1 cup brown sugar, 1 cup white sugar Add: 2 beaten eggs, 1 tsp. vanilla Add: (sifted together) 1 cup flour, 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp soda Add: 3 cup quick cooking oatmeal 1/2 cup walnuts, 1 cup raisins. Drop onto cookie sheet. Bake about 10 min at 375 degrees. | Ranger Cookies 1 1/4 C All purpose flour 1/2 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp soda 1/4 salt 1/2 cup margarine or butter 1/2 cup sugar 1/2 cup brown sugar 1 egg 1 tsp vanilla 2 cup rice crispy cereal 1 3 1/2 oz can flaked coconut 1 cup of pitted dates or raisins Makes 48 Bake @ 375 degrees | Oatmeal Crispies | Love | made with

25: Pumpkin Pudding Cake | 1 lrg can pumpkin 1 - 12oz evaporated milk 3 eggs, beaten 1/4 cup sugar 1/2 tsp cinnamon 1/4 tsp cloves 1 pkg yellow cake mix 1 cup chopped nuts 1 1/2 cubes melted butter Beat eggs, pumpkin, milk, sugar & spices, pour into a 9x13 pan. Sift cake mix & sprinkle over the top, add nuts & drizzle with melted butter | 350 at 1 hr | Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies 1 cup peanut butter 1 cup white sugar 1 egg and 1 tsp vanilla Mix all together, Bake at 325 degrees for 13 minutes

26: Bread Pudding | 6 cups french bread 3/4 cup dark raisins 2 1/2 cups hot water 3 eggs, lightly beaten 1 14oz can condensed milk 2 tbsp melted butter 1 tbsp grated orange peel 2 tsp vanilla 1 tsp cinnamon 1/4 tsp salt mix together & cook for 45 mins at 350 degrees SAUCE: 1/2 cup sugar 1 tbsp corn starch 1 cup orange juice Cook on stove top until thickens and drizzle over cooked pudding. | Rice Crispy Treats | 3 tbsp margarine 1 10 oz pkg mini marshmellows 6 cups rice krispies 1 tsp vanilla Cook over med. heat & spread into pan

27: Crunch Cobbler | 1 cup flour 1 cup sugar 1 egg (beaten) 1 tsp baking pwdr 1/2 cup chopped pecans 2 cups prepared pie filling (cherry or peach) 1 stick of margarine or butter Pour pie filling into 9x13 pan, mix together all dry ingrediants with nuts & mix in eggs, will be lumby. Spoon over filling, okay if doesn't cover whole filling. Bake for 35 mins at 350 degrees | Black Forest Cake | 1 pkg double chocolate cake mix 1 can cherry pie filling 3 eggs Mix cake mix & eggs, add pie filling. Pour into 9x13 pan & bake for 35 mins on 350 degrees Cook 1/3 cup milk & 1 cup powdered sugar over med. heat until well blended. Add 5 tbsp oil & 6 ozs of chocolate chips, stir all together and cool. Spread on cake
