S: A Little Bit of HomeMade Love

1: These family recipes come from the heart. Think of each other when you make and eat them. Love Emily | If a family we a fruit it would be an orange, a circle of sections, held together but separable-each segment distinct. | Families are like Fudge-mostly sweet with a few nuts. | Govern a Family like you would cook a small fish-very gently.

2: Breakfast Casserole Mary Lucius | Ingredients: 8 slices of bread 2lbs of sausage 4 beaten eggs 1 cup of milk 1 can of cream of mushroom soup 2/3 cup of shredded cheese bread crumbs Directions: Cover bottom of a buttered 9 x 13 baking dish with layer of bread. Mix eggs, soup, milk and cheese. pour over cooked sausage, Top with bread crumb, set in fridge for 24 hrs. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes | 350 | 45 | 8

3: Grandma would make this recipe for us every time we would come up to visit her and Grandpa Carl in Tiffin.

4: Beer Cheese | 2 8 oz of cream cheese 2 8 oz Woody's Cheddar (in a plastic container) dash of garlic 1 cup of beer (mom prefers Miller Light!) Pour into hollowed rye or pumpernickle bread. Tear up remaining pieces and dip.

5: Crustless Quiche From Bev Blatz | 1/2 stick of butter 1/2 cup of flour 10 eggs 1 tsp baking powder 7 oz of diced green chillies 1 pt of cottage cheese 1 lb Monterey Jack cheese- grated dash of salt Mix all ingredients. Heat oven to 400 degrees. Pour in a 13x9 or 8x8. Bake 45 min.

7: Lucius Lasagna | From Jane Flechtner | Lucius Lasagna Jane Flechtner Ingredients 1lb of ground beef 1 small onion 1 tsp of oregano 1 tsp of minced garlic 1 tsp of salt 1/4 tsp of pepper 1 tbsp of parsley 1 tbsp of sugar 1 can of tomato paste 1 -1lb of can tomatoes 1 lb of mozzarella cheese 1/2 lb of noodles 16 oz of cottage cheese Parmesan cheese Directions Brown beef and onion. Drain grease. Add Garlic, oregano, salt, pep, sugar, parsley, tomatoes and paste. Simmer 30 min. Cook noodles. Layer sauce, noodles cottage cheese and cheese. Repeat. Sprinkle with parm. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.

8: Swiss Chicken By: Antoinette Buffington | Ingredients: 4 chicken breasts 8 slices of Swiss 2 cans of cream of chicken 3/4 cup of white wine croûtons Directions: Place chicken in 9x 13 pan. Mix soup and wine together, pour over chicken. Place cheese over chicken and sprinkle croûtons over all.. Bake uncovered at 325 degrees for 1 hour. | Swiss Chicken from the kitchen of: Antoinette Buffington

10: Mexican Meatloaf From the Kitchen of Barb Lucius | 2 lbs of ground Beef 2 cups of Crushed tortilla chips 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese 2/3 cup of salsa 2 eggs beaten 2 Tbsp of taco seasoning Glaze 1/2 cup of ketchup 2 tbsp of brown sugar 1 tsp of dry mustard Combine all ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Shape mixture into a loaf. Spread glaze on top . Bake at 350 degrees for 30-45 minutes.

12: Weight Watchers 1 point Chili from the kitchen of Emily Lucius | 2 cans of Kidney Beans 2 cans of Tomatoes 1lb of lean ground beef cooked 1 cup of diced onion 2 Zucchini Diced 2 yellow squash diced 1 package of chili mix 1 can of corn Mix all ingredients in crockpot and set for low heat for 6-8 hours. Top with sour cream and cheese.

13: White Chicken Chili From the Kitchen of Emily Lucius 1 lb of cut up chicken 1 cup of chopped onion 1 can of chicken broth 2 tsp of Cumin seed (not ground) 2-3 cans white beans (Great Northern or Cannelini) drained 2 2 chopped Red, green or yellow peppers jalapeno peppers (canned or fresh) to taste In crock pot, combine chicken, onion, broth and cumin. Cook on low for 3-5 hours. Add drained beans. One hour prior to serving add peppers. Don't add them sooner or your chili will be mushy. Top with cheese and tortilla chips.. I cook on 4 hour setting- 2 hours in add beans, 3 hours in add peppers!

14: Tarragon Chicken Casserole From: Joan Buffington | Ingredients: 2 cans of condensed cream of chicken 2 cups of half and half 4 tsp of dried tarragon 1/2 tsp of pepper 1 package (16 oz) of linguine cooked 6 cups of cubed cooked chicken 1/2 cup of Parmesan cheese Directions: In a large bowl, combine soup, half and half, tarragon and pepper. Stir in linguine and chicken. Transfer to a baking dish and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

15: Wild Rice Supreme From the Kitchen Of Barb Lucius | 1 box/ bag of Uncle Ben;'s Long grain Rice 2 cups of cooked chicken 1/3 cup of chopped onion 1/4 cup of butter (melted) 1 cup of half and half 1 cup of chicken broth 1/3 cup of flour Prepare rice and set aside. In a large skillet, saute' onion in melted butter. Blend in salt, a dash of pepper and flour. Gradually stir in half and half and chicken broth. Cook until thickened. Stir together rice, sauce and chicken in a large bowl. Transfer in a cooking dish. Bake at 300 degrees for 30 minutes.

16: Scotch-A-Roos From the kitchen of Barb Lucius | 1 cup of Sugar 1 Cup of Karo Syrup 1 cup of Peanut Butter 6 cups of Rice Crispies Toppings: 6 oz of Milk Chocolate chips 6 oz of Butterscotch Chips Bring sugar and Karo syrup just to a boil in a large pot. Remove from heat and stir in the peanut butter. Stir in Rice Cripsies. Press into a greased 9x13 pan. Melt topping and spread on top of bars.

17: New England Pumpkin Pie From the kitchen of Antoinette Buffington | 2 eggs 3/4 cup of brown sugar 1 tsp cinnamon 1 1/2 can of pumpkin 1/2 can of evaporated milk 1/4 tsp ginger 1/2 tsp salt 1 cup of milk Beat eggs and add other ingredients. Mix thoroughly and turn into pie shell. Bake at 450* for 12 minutes, then reduce heat to 350* and bake until set.at least another 45 minutes. For an especially delicious pie, separate eggs and fold the egg whites in last.

18: From the kitchen of Antoinette Buffington Preheat oven to 400* 1 cup margarine 1/2 tsp. almond flavoring 1 cup confectioners sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 2 cups flour 1 cup finely ground nuts In a large mixing bowl, cream margarine and sugar. Add flavorings. Mix in flour and nuts. In tablespoon portions, roll into crescent shapes on cookie sheet and bake at 400* for 10minutes. Cookies will be pale in color when taken out of the oven. Let cool for 5 minutes then roll in confectioners sugar. | Crescent Cookies
