Tanzania is celebrating 50 years of attaining of political independence. | On the right is Tanzania's current president "H.E Jakay Mrisho Kiwete.

Tanzania is located exactly where my green arrow is pointing | Tanzania's absolute location is in eastern Africa between longitude 29o and 41o East, Latitude 1o and 12o South. | Tanzania's geography is one of the most varied and unique in the world; it contains Africa's highest point, Mount Kilimanjaro (19341ft / 5,895m), as well as Ngorongoro a crater or the 8th wonder and Lake Tanganyika the 2nd oldest and deepest lake in the world. | Tanzania also has a tropical climate. --Maybe thats why some of the earliest human bones were found there by Olduvai Gorge. Tanzania's land mass is the largest out of the eastern countries in Africa. It's land adds up to 378,000 sq. mi.

These pictures really show you the wide range of land forms and animals that occurs in Tanzania. Obviously, this would attract a lot of people. Since the 2010 census 41.8 MILLION people are residing in Tanzania. Within these 41.8 million people are 120 tribes and 120 languages spoken. However, Swahili is the official language.

Basically, Tanzania's people believe in a wide variety of religions, 40 percent Christan, 35 percent Muslim, and 20 percent follow indigenous religions. Also Tanzanian musicians are among the the best in Eastern Africa. They play a variety of music from the old school to the new or a mix of both. Some legendary artists include Rem Ongala, Dionys Mbilinyi, Sabinus Komba. There is also a variety of food Tanzanians enjoy, near the coastal regions you would eat spicy food, like bagia and kabab, Further inland you would eat less spicy such as rice and grilled meat.

Tanzania is governed under the constitution of 1977. The president, who is head of state and head of government, is elected by popular vote for a five-year term and is eligible for a second term. | Tanzania is a Republic. It's government in a broad perspective is like ours.

Is UK's budget fund cutting related to corruption? 10th November, 2011 British government is cutting aid due to corruption. They are cutting off aid because several reports say that a good proportion of the funds may be ending up in pockets of a few people. This fact is clearly known and the President has already confessed that approximately 33 percent of the state annual budget is lost due to corruption and flawed procurement exercises. Reports say Tanzania better be prepared for a cut up to 30 percent of aid money through DFID for the year 2011 and 2012. However, Britain is not alone. Twelve other DFID partners who support Tanzanian budget are cutting funds by 100 million dollars. Donors contribute between 24 to 30 percent of the total government budget. A large percentage of these funds support development spending, imposing any cut will jeopardize Tanzania's development aspirations. Tanzania is trying to discount these reports. Mwalimu Julius K. Nyerere quotes "We were not breaking legs. Therefore, we made laws so that we can teach these people that we dislike this issue and if one was found guilty of corruption we did not leave the judge to decide the on punishment to be given.
