S: My Trip To Ellis Island

BC: By: Ahmir Johnson the awesome

FC: My Move To The U.S.A.

1: Today I don't want to be ruled, hurt or controlled. Today I'm going to Ellis Island for freedom in the U.S.A. Today at night we managed to get passed the guards from the Berlin Wall.

2: February 6, 1913. I'm on a crew ship ready to go, it was really crowded with about 10,000 people on board. I feel like I'm the only 12 year old | February 13, 1913 We sailed for a week, I had no food, no family anything except a suitcase with $50 in it and my family picture. I felt nervous about leaving everyone behind because I never have been alone by myself before.

3: A few hours later we saw a huge statue that we thought stood for freedom. We were all excited and using all different languages. WhenI finally got off the the crew ship I had to go through Ellis Island. I did no know any English at all so I could not understand what they were saying. Statue Of Libarty | Statue of Liberty

4: Today I am going to enjoy my life and I am going to school for an education. Now I am 21 and I and I am business man who sells rare products. Now I dream to be a doctor and a pro basketball player, pro football, pro soccer player and pro baseball player.

6: The lines were long at about 500,000 people waiting to get tested. It took me 2 days to just to get passed all of the tests. Before I left they told me you have to sign your name on the list. I did not know how to spell my name so they game me one and called me Jeff D Harmer. Then finally I got out and was free for the rest of my life! The test we had to go through was Sight, smelling, feeling Hearing, and Tasting

7: March 27, 1997 Now I've grown old and gray with a disease called all timers, but still remember the trip to Ellis Island and leaving my family forever.
