1: What caused The Great Depression? That's perhaps the greatest question of all. The answer though is not one issue specifically, but rather a whole combination. Let's start with the stock market crash of 1929, shall we? That's what really hit off The Great Depression with a bang -- even after only two | months since the crash in October, the stockholders had gone under at least forty billion dollars! And then came the bank failures -- many people were worried about their cash, so everyone decided to run to the bank to withdraw their money. Yet, still, besides the plans founded by FDR, World War II surprisingly helped to bring America out of its recession.
