FC: Life Cycle of Stars
1: Dedication I dedicate this book to my parents.
2: The beginning of a star's life Hello my name is shiny and I am a star. I entered my life as a ball of gas and dust. Gravity helped me get put together. Gravity pulled dust and gases together to form a star. Thats how I was born! As the sphere becomes denser it gets way hotter and hydrogen turns into helium, this process is called nuclear fusion. When other stars explode then another star is born.
4: The main sequence star The main sequence stage is the longest stage of my entire life. Energy is generated in the core of the star as hydrogen atoms fuse into helium atoms. The size of the main sequence star will change very little. As long as the star has a continuous supply of hydrogen atoms to fuse into helium atoms then then the star will change.
6: Red Giants and Supergiants After my phase of the main sequence star I move on to the supergiants and giants stage. This stage includes me to be hot on the outside and cool on the inside. This stage causes the my inner core to shrink when the outer core gets very large an dense. Also during this stage I will lose some of my hydrogen. When I become a red giant I will be 10 times or more times bigger then the sun. But if I am a supergiant then I will be 100 times bigger then the sun.
7: Supergiant | Red giant
8: White dwarf | This will be my final stage of my lifetime. I will become a a very hot star and I am the leftover center of an older star. I will no longer have any hydrogen left and can no longer generate energy. But I will shine for billions of years before I actually die out.
