2: Anne was born on June 12th, 1929 in Frankfurt, Germany.

3: Nazi Activity in 1929 | In 1929, the Nazi party was trying to get Hitler in to office. Communists were growing bigger. Communists had 10% of the seats in the Reichstag.

4: Nuremberg Laws | Laws that forbid Jews from having sexual relationships and marriages with the Aryan. Also, the laws had a chart that showed the degrees of Jew.

5: Kristallnact "The Night of Broken Glass" | On November 9th and 10th, 1938 anti-Jewish pogroms destroyed 7,500 businesses, 101 synagogues, and killed nearly 100 Jews.

6: The major death camps were Auschwitz, Belzek, Chelmo, Madjanek, Sobibor, and Treblinka. Millons of Jews died at these camps.

7: On June 12, 1942, Anne received her diary. It was her thirteenth birthday. | On March 29, 1944, a radio broadcast inspired Anne to publish her diary that she had been keeping for two years.

8: July 6, 1942 the Franks went into hiding above Otto Franks office in Amsterdam.

9: These were non-Jewish people that helped the annex by running Otto's business and bringing food for the Franks, Van Pels and Pfeffer. | Bep Voskuijl | Jan Gies | Jo Kleiman | Miep Gies | Victor Kugler

10: On August 8, 1944, the Frank's, Van Pels and Fritz Pfeffer got arrested by Nazis after they had been in hiding for two years.

11: On October 28, 1944 Anne and Margot got sent to the Bergen-Belsen Concentration Camp. | Margot Frank

12: In March 1944, Anne Frank died from typhus at the Bergen-Belsen Concentration Camp. She was fifteen years old.

13: Soviet Forces liberated Majdanek Concentration Camp on July 1, 1944. Auschwitz was liberated in January 1945. Buchenwald was liberated April 11, 1945 and Bergen-Belsen was liberated in min-April of 1945. Germans tried to destroy the evidence. | Auschwitz

14: On May 7, 1945, the German forces had an unconditional surrender signed by General Alfred Jodl at Reims.

15: Meip Gies found Anne's diary in the Annex after they were arrested. She gave the diary to Otto Frank, the only survivor of he family. | Otto Frank gave the diary to a publisher and on June 25, 1947 the diary was published.

16: Dear Reader, Anne Frank was an amazing person who live during a horrible time. The Holocaust was a terrible mistake that cost many peoples lives. It would've been terrifying to live in one of the concentration camps. Nazi we're a lot more brutal then we had thought, they skinned people even which we didn't except. - Jessa and Kallie
