3: She was born in New York in 1931. She attended the Music and Art High School there before going on to graduate from Cooper Union in 1951. After graduating from Cooper, Flack attended Yale University.

She gave them an emotional and symbolic depth to them. She also was an American pioneer of sculpting the heroic female figure.
