The land is great for growing tomatoes, pineapples, grapefruits, guavas, mangoes, bananas, and much more. First the Spanish came and took the people as slaves to Hispaniola. 4: The Spanish took the Arawak people on the Islands as slaves. The people living on the Bahamas speak English because the English settlers spoke English. Christianity is the main religion in the Bahamas.
