FC: The Slave Trade by: Jessica Bindl
1: On auction day, the day slaves feared the most, the day were families were torn apart and never seen each other again. The men were sold for $1,000, the women for $800 and the children for $500.
2: Theses chains were wore around slaves ankles if they were known for running away. | Slaves also wore chains during auctions if the slaves acted out or were violent.
3: When Harriet Tubman was leading the slaves to freedom she said the house that have a lantern is a safe house other wise known as stations were slaves were provided food, shelter, and money
4: I think the salves benefited the most from the civil war, because we were fighting for there freedom.
5: Slavery all started when cotton became a big issues and if there was no cotton their would have been no slavery and if their was no slavery there | would have been no civil war so slavery was a big issue back then. Life would have been a lot better with out slavery there was no reason to use slaves people were just to lazy to do it them selfs.
6: If you make it to the free states you maybe free but if your owner came up north he could take you back down south and make you a slave once again.
7: Ulysses S. Grant was the general of the north, He helped are troops to fight for the slaves freedom | Robert E. Lee was the general of the south. When he realized that the north would not stop until we won he had to surrender
8: America today. After the north won the war the slaves won back there freedom and for never will be a slave again.
