1: Jefferson Davis and The Battle of Fredericksburg
3: John Brown Murder On the night of May 24th, 1856 John Brown and his free slaves volunteers killed 5 men at Pottawatomie Creek in Southern Kansas. At the Doyle Farm, James and two of his sons, William and Drury were drug outside and hacked with heavy sabers. Mrs. Doyle and daughter, a fourteen year old were soared too. They then moved to Allen Wilkinson’s place. The combination of fall Lawrence and the Pottawatomie kill nap caused Southern Kansas to erupt into guirella warfare.
5: Battle of Fredericksburg The battle of Fredericksburg was fought on December 11th – 15th around Fredericksburg, Virginia and the leading general was for the Northern army was General Philip Schuyler. The leading general for the Southern army was Gen. George H. Thomas. The confederacy won the battle of Fredericksburg, in Virginia.
6: Jefferson Davis Jefferson Davis was born on June 3rd, 1808 in the portion of Christian County, Kentucky. Davis was president. He became president of the Carolina Life Insuance Company in Memphis, Tennessee. Jefferson Davis died in Orleans, LA. He died from diseases. When he died he left his wife and six kids. Samuel Emory, Margaret Howell, Jefferson Jr., Joseph Evan, William Howell, and Varia Ann are all his kids that he left when we died.
9: Dear Ally, The war is getting harder. The union is falling and falling hard. I'm fine for now. How are you doing? I got your letter just the other day and had to write back as soon as I could. I had to be on the battlefield When is little Isac going to be born. I do wish that I could be there to see him. How is ma and pa doing I heard Pa got the cold and Ma got it right after. I'm scared, I don't want to die yet. I at least have to see you and the baby.
