1: There are many types of clouds. Clouds can tell us things about our weather. Clouds can help tell us what is going on in the sky. Source (http://www.free-online-private-pilot-ground-school.com/images/cloud-types.gif)
2: Here are some Cumulus clouds. They look like fluffy cotton balls. They are white. Cumulus clouds are low to the ground. These clouds happen when there is fair weather.
3: These clouds are Cirrus clouds. They are thin and wispy clouds. They are red and orange because the sun is starting to set.
4: These clouds are also cirrus clouds. See how they are thin and wispy too? This picture was taken at about 7:00 pm.
5: These clouds are the same clouds as before. This picture was taken at about 7:45 pm. See how they have moved and changed?
6: These little clouds are Altocumulus clouds. They are mid-level clouds. They are little, white and puffy. These clouds are in the sky when the weather is fair.
7: Did you know that there can be more than one cloud in the sky at a time? Its true! Look at this picture. In the from we have the mid-level Altocumulus clouds. But behind those clouds we have clouds that are much higher in the sky. These clouds are called Cirrocumulus.
8: There are two airplanes in this picture. You can see where the airplanes have been by their white trail.
9: Their white trail is also a cloud. It is called Contrails. The airplane's exhaust makes these clouds.
10: Isn't this pretty? These clouds are Altocumulus clouds. You can tell this because they are close together. Another sign of Altocumulus clouds is that they are small, puffy and close together!
11: This picture is not so pretty. But there are still clouds here. There are Stratus clouds. They cover the whole sky and are gray color. These clouds are low-level clouds.
12: Clouds are every where. Next time you see a cloud in the sky to to figure out what kind it is!
