2: Dear Diary , 10/5/1347 Hi, I just got this book so I'm using it as a diary! Let me start by telling you about my self! I'm 15 years old... My name is Samantha.. I have 1 sibling, a brother named Usher . I'm very happy i have a brother . I;m always working on the farm. The only breaks i have our breakfast, lunch and dinner. I really hate working on the farm, but when my brother is there,we are always laughing and fooling around, but always working.
3: I don;t really like working on the farm,because its really hard work.,but when my brother works with me its much better! He is 16 years old... ;well I have to get to bed for farming tomorrow! Love, Sam
4: Dear Diary, 10/6/1347 Hi! The farming was so hard today! Usher is sick! He cant even get up! I told mom and dad that i would do Usher's farm work and they agreed . I hope Usher will be okay! I don't like doing his work., i had to pick barley and wheat! Also, i had to slaughter pigs this morning! It was the nastiest thing I did in a couple of years . I have done it most of my life since i was about 8 years old .

6: Dear Diary, 10/7/1347 Hi! My brother is way worse today . I;m starting to get really scared,but praying he will get better! My dad is getting sick also! I hope I don't get it! I'm praying for my whole family . Guess what i fond out today!? My mommy is having a baby! I'm so happy and excited! I just can't wait . I've got to go good-bye! Love, Sam
7: Dear Diary , 10/8/1347 Hi! Something weird is going on. . The cows and the chickens are acting very strange today . The cows won't come close to me or let me milk them. The chickens won't lay their eggs. . I hope everything will be okay! Love, Sam
8: Dear Diary, 10/9/1347 Hi! My brother is getting much worse . I'm so worried!!!! My dad unfortunately died last night! We think he just got really sick , but I'm still praying for my family . This morning I went to the chickens, only 4 were alive . I got really scared, then I went to the cows. All the cows where on the ground in the grass.. They were all dead., I started to cry. | Dear Diary, 10/9/1347 I think I am going to go crazy if I here this song again . All the kids are singing Ring Around The Rosie Pocket Full Of Poise Ashes Ashes We All Fall Down!! Almost all of the towns people have these grouse ring like looking circles that are black it's grouse . Sam,
9: I went to Usher to ask what had happened,but he wouldn't wake up . He was gone .. He died . I ran to my mom's room, hoping she knew what had happened. She was crying so hard and yelling Why? Why did this happen to me? I ran to my room . I started balling my eyes out.. Then fell asleep . Love, Sam
10: Dear Diary , 10/10/1347 Hi! Its my birthday today!! We don't celebrate birthdays often, especially , after the death of my father and brother . My mom lay in bed all day. She asked me to trade the left over eggs for milk to our good friends . I went to their house and they had black spots all over them, they where dead . I put down the eggs and toke the milk . I ran home and told mom but she wouldn't wake up . I was crying and telling her to wake up, wake up, WAKE UP MOM!!

12: Extra Facts About the Plague | The plague killed millions of people, and it spread from fleas that rats and other rodents were carrying. They traveled all over Europe, spreading the Black Plague like wild fire. Here is a picture of where the Plague traveled. | The plague started in about 1328A.D and ended in about 1351.
13: The plague got its name because one of the symptoms produced a blackening of the skin around the swelling or buboes. At first, the buboes were red, but later turned a dark purple or black. The disease was so terrible, about 7,500 victims were dying every day, nearly 200 million in Europe died. Some Symptoms of the Black Death are painful swellings called buboes, which would appear in the legs, neck, armpit, or neck. ALso high fevers, delirium, vomiting, muscle pains,
14: bleeding in the lungs, mental disorientation, and the desire to sleep. Most victims of the plague would only live between 2-4 days after getting the deadly disease. Some treatments were applying a warm poultice of butter, onion, and garlic to the buboes. Later on during the Elizabethan Era, substances such as tobacco were used at treatments for the disease. Some consequences of the Black Death were prices and wages rose, greater value places on labor. Peasants moved from Countries to
