Mummers are people that dress really weird and play music. The most famous mummer band plays in Philly in the Mummer parade. | During All Fools Day ,April Fools Day, the day was taken over by jesters, clowns, and anyone else that would entertain people. The day would be a day where all you do is laugh and have fun. | During Christmas, peasant dressed like mummers and entertained lords for food and money. | A jester is a person that dresses kind of like a mummer ,but not as outrageous, and entertains people. Also this is a clown. | H | O | S | L | Y | A | D | I | On Easter the towns people would give each other gifts and the lords would get eggs.

The Market | In the market, you did not just buy food. You could listen to musicians and story tellers. You could also watch jesters, clowns, actors, acrobats, trained animals, and mummers | The market was the place where people ,like serfs, would buy food and trade.

In the market you could buy things like.... | cloth | Meat | What you could get in the market | Pottery | Bread | Fruit | Clothing | Also you didn't just have to buy things you could trade items for other items.

Sports | People liked to play soccer, tennis, ball games, sword play, wrestling, and any animal sport. Adults liked to hunt and hawk. Whenever knights had the time, they would always look for a tournament to be in. | Not all people played sports. Some watched and of course others played. | Animal sports: A sport that contains an animal people (mostly men) would try to wrestle animals and do other stuff. Also In the market you would see these animals doing all types of tricks.

Games | There was even some kid games, that everyone loved! Games like Blindman's Bluff, board games and you could also watch tournaments. | Blindman's Bluff: was a game kind of like tag, but the tagger was blindfolded. The game was played on a hill or bluff.

Religious Plays | Religious plays were played in a church, to help people learn more about God, saints and more Christian like things. | A more modern play | <----- | The church, also called the cathedral, was shaped like a cross, Hey!! we're here when you're ready or that we love you.

Medieval Plays | Drama filled fun for all ages. People would dress in outrageous outfits to attract more people. Also like todays plays you had to pay. | Whenever you would walk into a market this is what you would see. Sometimes townspeople were even included.

Dear Diary, | Today, Sarah and I are going to the market to see the jesters, mummers, and play games with friends. Our parents told us to be back by 7, but the best part doesn't start until 8, so they are coming with us, to see the big Christmas tree, with all the lights. We can't wait, but until then, our friends will keep us grounded, and not all in everyone's faces. Later, when our parents came, we found out, they are part of the mummers parade! They were dressed in silly outfits, and everything! Now we were told we are in it next year! this has been an amazing day and we can't wait for next year!

Well Things just aren't the same anymore. Times are different so entertainment has changed

When people walk into a super market they don't see clowns and trained animals running around | Instead people go to a circus. That is where EVERYTHING is. | When we want to see animals we go to the zoo. | Hey ever heard of video games?? | We still play board games...Right?? | We still play Soccer, tennis and Wrestling as Real sports in this country. | We STILL do plays and musicals.
