2: Elvis Presley He was born January 8, 1935. He loved to sing. He made several records and movies. He was very famous.

3: Abraham Lincoln | Lincoln was born in a log cabin. He taught himself to read. He became a lawyer. He married Mary Todd.

4: Mark Twain He was born on November 30, 1835. He grew up to be an author. He started as a newspaper reporter, and then moved to writing books.

5: Leonardo Da Vinci He was raised by his uncle Francesco. He would always take a sketch book with him. He grew up to be a famous painter and sculptor.

6: Ronald Reagan He was born February 6th in Illinois. As an adult he played sports. He was a radio broadcaster. He then became an actor. He had 53 movies and 63 television shows.

7: Amelia Earhart | She was a famous person because she was a woman pilot. She set records with her flights.

8: Dr. Seuss | He started as an illustrator for children's books. The he tried to get his own books published, but he was refused. Eventually he was able to publish many books.

9: King Tut He became king as a boy. He married when he was 10. His death is still a mystery.

10: Roald Daul As a young man he was a pilot during WWII. He married Patricia Neal. He became a famous writer.

11: Steve Jobs | He liked computers. He made the iPad and iPhone.

12: Johnny Appleseed | He planted apple trees. He planted trees all across the west.

13: Mark Twain | As an adult he married Libby. He wrote newspaper stories. Then he wrote books.

14: Helen Keller She became deaf and blind because of scarlet fever. She was taught to communicate by Annie Sullivan. She was able to go to a school for special children. Then she went to college.

15: Harriet Tubman She was born a slave. She ran away from the plantation where she lived. She made her way north. She worked the rest of her life bringing slaves north.

16: Clara Baton Clara Barton worked as a nurse in the American Revolution. She worked on the battlefield.
