1: You’ve got to push yourself harder. You’ve got to start looking for pictures nobody else could take. You’ve got to take the tools you have and probe deeper. William Albert Allard
26: Briana | Rose
30: Briana Rose | as | Miss Iris
32: Miss Iris has no eyes. She cannot see her surroundings, and so neither can we. She must invent her world, and so therefore must we. Lack of color becomes color unimaginable. The body becomes an extension of itself. Sudden wind is ecstasy. She is alone, while she is not. She makes her way knowing that at any given moment, someone may or may not be watching. She does not care in the slightest. Beauty is found in touch, in sensation. How Miss Iris feels becomes the definition of what is beautiful -- not how she, or the world, may look. For one born with sight, it is almost impossible to imagine the ways and visions of one who is eyeless.
47: This book could not have happened without the support of my professor, Dominick Martorelli my husband, James Humphries and all my wonderful models. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
