1: This book is dedicated to Ms.Kleber. Thanks for being such a great world history teacher. :)
2: Once upon a time in Greenwich, England a baby boy was born.
3: The parents of the baby boy were Henry VII and Elizabeth of York. They decided to name the baby Henry VIII.
4: Henry grew up in both Lancaster, England and York, England.
5: While growing up, Henry received an education from private tutors. He learned about many different things, such as: reading, languages, and math. | Henry also enjoyed to be outdoors. Whether he was hunting or playing tennis, he loved it all/
6: One day, when Henry was only ten years old, he got married to his dead, older brother's widow, Catherine of Aragon.
7: After the couple was married, they had their only daughter, Mary. Or more commonly known as "Bloody Mary. However, Henry was not satisfied with a daughter because usually boys are the heir to the throne. This was not okay to Henry, so he wanted a divorce.
8: Growing up, Henry was always a devoted Catholic./He was even given the title, Defender of Faith, by the Pope. It wasn't until one day when the Pope wouldn't allow him to divorce Catherine of Aragon that he decided to create his own church.
9: Henry decided that if he were to create his own church he would be able to divorce his no longer wanted wife, Catherine of Aragon.
10: Henry's closest friends were William Compton and Charles Brandon.
11: Henry VIII also had many wives. He was married six times and had three children (Mary I, Elizabeth I, and Edward VI.) | Catherine of Aragon | Anne Boleyn | Jane Seymour | Anne of Cleves | Catherine Howard | Catherine Parr
12: With his friends, Henry was able to accomplish one of the greatest achievements of the Reformation. His accomplishment was that he took over the Catholic church's land and increased the power of the king.
13: Although Henry's great accomplishment, he did have some failures. His most significant failures were his six marriages. No matter how hard he tried, he never seemed to have a perfect relationship.
14: While in one of his failing marriages, Henry did manage to write, Declaration of the Seven Sacraments Against Martin Luther, with Sir Thomas More.
15: Henry found his inspiration to do this from his father, Henry VII.
16: Henry's father encouraged him to pursue the education of theology.
17: Henry VIII was successful in creating the Church of England. | By taking over the Catholic church's land, he increased the power of the king.
18: Two years after Henry was named head of the Church of England, his wife, Anne Boleyn gave birth to Elizabeth I.
19: After having his second child, Elizabeth I, he had the biggest invasions of France since his great grandfather, Henry V, had reigned./
20: After returning from the invasion of France, Henry enjoyed being a great musician.
21: Also after returning, Henry enjoyed being a great athlete.
22: Unfortunately, 16 years after Henry VIII became head of the Church of England, he died. However, he was buried next to the love of his life, Jane Seymour.
