S: Jem Finch: To Kill a Mockingbird
FC: JEM FINCH | BY: AMELIA NILL & AUSTIN DISMOND
1: My name is Jeremy Finch. Jem for short. Some of my favorite things to do are play outside with my sister, Scout, and our friend Dill. I also really love football, I hope to play for my school someday!
2: This is my daddy. His name is Atticus Finch. | Atticus is a great lawyer here in Maycomb. | Eventhough our mom is gone, Atticus takes real good care of me and Scout
3: Livin life to the fullest | I remember when Atticus did something completely unexpected. He shot a dog and killed em, with one shot! | People started calling my dad "One Shot Finch". They said he was the best shooter in his younger day. I guess he still has it. Maybe Atticus isn't old and useless after all.
4: This is the tire that we use to spent countless hours in just rolling each other in. I still remember when Dill and I rolled Scout and she headed straight to the Radley's front doorstep. That was the closest any of us had ever gotten. She was traumatized, wouldn't move a muscle. Luckily I got her to go and grab the tire before she ran off. It holds so many great memories.
5: Conclusion | "If there's just one kind of folks, why can't they get along with each other? If they're all alike, why do they go out of their way to despise each other? Scout, I think I'm beginning to understand something. I think I'm beginning to understand why Boo Radley's stayed shut up in the house all this time.it's because he wants to stay inside." ( Lee, 227) Jem finally gets a better understanding on life and people by stepping in someone else's shoes. This quote shows how Jem is growing up and maturing. He no longer just made assumptions upon what he sees/hears but by looking at their perspective. You can really tell how much Jem has changed from the beginning of the book.
