For: My wonderful family, whom I love
Dear Diary, BOOM!! It happened. I glided through the sky drifting slowly, parting from something. I felt like I was flying and changing into something that needed to happen. At that moment I became a ball of gas and dust. I feel like I’m getting hotter and hotter and denser and denser, until I can't get much hotter anymore. I stay still. I’m still as I wished to be.
Dear Diary, I suddenly begin to feel like I’m changing. My energy starts to generate. In my core are hydrogen atoms that fuse into helium atoms. I use tons of my energy. I hope I don't get any smaller or bigger so I have the best supply of hydrogen atoms to fuse into helium atoms.
Dear Diary, I was shining bright and I felt odd. I begin to expand coolly. I find I used up all my hydrogen. I feel like I’m getting smaller. My center is shrinking. The atmosphere grows large and I cool. I am a red giant. I figure out that I’m going to die soon.
Dear Diary, I am in the final stages of my long life. I am the same mass as the sun. I learn I am a leftover of an old star. I have no more hydrogen and have no strength to generate energy. Now I'm a white dwarf. It happens. I cool of completely. My days of being a bright, shining star is over.
