FC: Sgt.Udolfo Ariba of the Spanish conquistadors army. | Matt Doman
General Pizzaro has recomended we keep a journal in case we are killed by savages.
Now three days into our journey we have started to see signs of life among the vast land.
Into the mainland we have come across dark-skinned people, they speak a complicated tongue and wear ridiculous clothing. We are continuing our journey trying to find a leader.
My fellow Spainards and I are worried. We have just seen a mighty army of these people we have come to know as the Inca. Soon Captain De Soto will take a small force into their capital and meet with the Inca's leader.
Atahaulpa, their leader has threatened to go to war with us. They outnumber us greatly and we fear for our lives. This may be the last time I ever write in my journal. To Melina and my child Fransico, i miss you.
After a wild sequence we have fought the Incas and captured Atahaulpa. We surprised the foul beasts once they refused to convert to the Lord. The slaughter in the area is great. The stench of death spreads through camp. General Pizzaro has ordered Atahaulpa to have his people pay ransom in gold and silver. He has not told us if we will release him.
A plan to free the emperor of the Inca was foiled by Captain De Soto last night. He was on duty when across the valley he saw unfamiliar lights and ran to warn the others. Many died in this stand because of the Incas vast numbers. Many of my comrades have parished.
In just a few hours, Emperor Atahualpa will be executed. His native people can not have anything to rally on. We will finish them off and colonize the ones who wish to convert to Christianity. I will spend more time here in the native land. Some day I will send for my wife and child.
The last of the Inca scourge is rumored to try and make one final rebellion in the coming weeks. After they are defeated I will finally send for my family. I give the Incas credit for such a valiant fight against us Conquistadors and our powerful army. They stood no chance in Pizzaro's might.
The first night of fighting is over. We have lost only a few men. I feel confident they will be wiped out in a swift and clean manner.
I'm dying. Please give this to my family. The Inca monsters managed to stab me in their efforts to show they had not been finished. I'm losing hope fast. May the grace of God watch over all of my Conquista
