1: First case: In Germanic mythology, a dwarf is someone that dwells on the mountain and in earth.
2: Turner Syndrome
3: Cause of disease- Achondroplasia, Turner Syndrome, Inadequate pituitary function, lack of emotional or physical nurturance., prenatal factors.
4: Achondroplasia | People affected by this disorder: People that have myraid medical conditions. People with the disorder of Achondroplasia and growth hormone deficiency.
5: Symptoms/effects: Slow or flat rate of growth, usually less than 2 inches per year. Child will be much shorter than other kids are at the same age. Face appears younger and a chubby body build. In other children, puberty may come late or not at all.
6: Prognosis The earlier the condition is treated, the better the chance that a child will grow to be a near-normal adult child. | Treatments: Growth hormone injections can be given at home. Patients may recieve growth hormone several times a week or once a day.
8: Current Research: Serious chronic illnesses may produce dwarfism along with harsh environmental conditions, such as malnutrition.
