BC: This picture sums this project up. I am present in the picture and the project is about ME! I have a mental map of where I am going but I also have a print out of Google Maps just in case. My bicycle represents space time compression, and my house is a long lot so I have access to a road. This is picture covers many components of my project.

The hill near my house is a space, because it is a geometric surface. | My garden is a place because it has fertile soil and my vegetables grow there. | Central Concepts of My Life
Central Concepts of My Life | This Hickory Ridge sign marks the formal region of a neighborhood. All the houses in the houses in the area belong to the Hickory Ridge formal region. | This car represents space-time compression because it allows me to have more interaction with my aunt in Houston by reducing the travel time.
Spatial Interactions in My Life | My house is a long lot because it has access to a the road. | These objects represent relocation diffusion because they come from different places such as India and Venice.
Spatial Interactions in My Life | This picture is an example of central place because the temple is a main node of activity in my life. It is the location of many exchanges, a few economic and many social. | There are very few people on my street, so my street can be said to have a very low arithmetic density.
Geographic Tools in My Life | This map is a thematic, chloropleth map showing the official languages of different parts of the world. | This is a mental map of all the places I went to one weekend. It shows how well I know my surroundings and how to get to places like my friends' houses.
This is a Mercator projection. It preserves the shapes of the countries/ landforms but distorts the size. Greenland often looks bigger than South America in these projections. | This map scale helps me realize that the map is slightly distorted and expresses the actual distance versus the distance on the map. | Geographic Tools in My Life
This is a model of me studying. The model shows that only if I study 4 and a half hours or more I can make a 90 or higher. | This wall has my height over the years marked. The chart above shows this in a model which is applicable to my life. | Models in My Life
This model shows that the more I practice dance the better the quality of my performance will be. | This picture models the fact that homework increases with age. So, my sister has less homework than me, because of our age difference. | Models in My Life
Some cameras like this one are used for aerial photography. Aerial photography is used to record my house property data. | This Geographic technology is the GPS. It helps my parents drive me to place by giving them directions. GPS uses a worldwide network of satellites to triangulate the precise location on earth. | Geographic Technology
This map is an example of GIS. It layers the trails and the possibility of ticks. Maps like this one help my family and I decide if we should walk the trail or not. | Lasers such as this one are used to find elevation. They are a form of remote-sensing. | Geographic Technology | silhouette of my face
