 Language Arts Poem
Taking LA has been fun. Barely trying and I still get done. I use LA to succeed in life, It will help me propose to my wife And use the books to inspire my dreams. So I can ball just like Karim Because books can take you to faraway lands, Read them to fly farther than Superman.
 Self Respect poem
Sometimes I work, sometimes I don’t. Sometimes I help, sometimes I won’t. Depend on me, I might even succeed. It really just depends on the time. I’m not (the average) guy. And I ain’t lazy . But I learned to work Because I’m hardworking. I’m not smart My worth is not determined by brains. No matter what happens I will always be same.
 My Mother's Kitchen
My mothers kitchen doesn't hold food scents, It smells of cleaning and it feels so tense. You don't go in there and make a mess, It's not the best place I must confess. Then my sisters try to enter, To their dismay they have to exit And my mother laughs at their surrender So what’s cooking is always top secret Then a holiday arrives and the smells fill the air, All the hustle and bustle cause there's no time to spare. The smells of nihari and biryani are great, Oh the smells of what she can create. Everyone gathers to eat her holiday feast, We stuff our faces like starving beasts. Then it's over and the cleaning begins, While we sit around with huge old grins. My mother’s kitchen is mostly cold, Though the colors are bright and bold. She has to work hard for stomachs to feed, So we wait and find out if she succeeds
 Tribute to GSMST
Wake in the morning feelin a little giddy, I brush my teeth then I grab my backpack im out the door, Gonna start to study On my way to school Feeling ready Go to chemistry We’re learning stoichiometry Done with all my classes Gonna put up my glasses Gonna go play ball And that’s all WORD!
Poem of Choice The Fresh Prince of Bel Air theme song
Now this is the story all about how My life got flipped, turned upside down And I'd like to take a minute just sit right there I'll tell you how I became the prince of a town called Bel-Air In West Philadelphia born and raised On the playground where I spent most of my days Chilling out, maxing, relaxing all cool
And all shooting some b-ball outside of the school When a couple of guys said "we're up in no good" Started making trouble in my neighborhood I got in one little fight and my mom got scared And said "you're moving with your aunt and uncle in Bel-Air"
I whistled for a cab and when it came near the License plate said "Fresh" and had a dice in the mirror If anything I could say that this cab was rare But I thought now forget it, yo home to Bel-Air I pulled up to a house about seven or eight And I yelled to the cabby "Yo, home smell you later" Looked at my kingdom I was finally there To settle my throne as the prince of Bel-Air
