1: St Dominic was born in Caleruega. He was born in 1170. When he was little he lived in Palencia. | His father, Don Felix de Guzman, was the royal warden of the village, his mother Jane of Aza was a woman of unusual sanctity.

2: At the age of twenty-five he was ordained and took up his duties as a priest. | When St Dominic was very young it was decided that he would obviously have a job to work in the church when he was older.

3: In 1203 St. Dominic joined Bishop Diego de Avezedo of Osma to Languedoc where he preached against the Albigensians. | In February, 1219 St. Dominic founded the first monastery of the Order in Spain. | convoked the first general council of the order at Bologna in 1220.

4: St Dominic Died on 6th of August 1221.
