m | October 8, 1348 My name is Anabel Peterson. I am eleven years old. My mother's name is Margret and my father's name is Scott. I have two sisters and three brothers. I live in France and I love being with my family. Lately I have been hearing about the black plague, but I don't know what it is. People in my town are saying that this plague was spread throughout Asia and is going the reach my town. Now I am wondering what this plague is.
October 10, 1348 The Black Plague is spreading and my mother, Margret, told me it kills. What does that mean? I am so scared because my whole family is crying and I don't know why! It's very strange, but I have been seeing many more ships coming into my town. Today I sat and watched the ships and a lot of rats were running out of the ships. I am frightened of rats ,so I ran away. I did not tell my mom because I have a feeling she would be very angry at me for leaving my house.
November 13,1348 This doctor has been coming to our house to check and see if everyone is alright. Their outfit consisted of a hat to show that the man was a doctor, mask to protect the face, crystal "eyes" to "protect" the eyes, the beak stuffed with spices to "purify" the air that the doctor breathed, wooden stick to push away victims who would get too close to him, leather gloves to protect the hands. I heard all of this from my mother. | November 20,1348 Oh no, this is so terrible, I think my mom has the plague because she has the black blotches all over her body, and a very high fever. Every day I have been going to church to pray for her to get better. I also did some research today and found a map of the world and I started mapping the plague out to were it started and were it's going.
January 13,1349 My mom died today. She had black blotches all over her skin. A doctor came in today and was wearing a mask that makes them not get the plague. They put her body in a pile of other bodies because they have no room or time for a funeral. I can't stop crying, and now I have to live with my grandmother because my father said that he cant take care of me because if he got it he didn't want us to get it. We went to church today. It was terrible because everyone was crying there. We prayed for my whole family and hoped we didn't get the plague too.
July 6,1353 I am dead. The plague took one third of Europe's population including me. This experience was to hard to handle. I was sitting on my bed and I felt little bugs jumping frantically on me. Later on I found black blotches on my skin and then that is when I found out I had the plague. I had a fever and felt so sick. I ran away because I did not want to give anyone else the plague. This was an awful experience for everyone who had it or relatives or family members who got it.

The Black Plague | The Black Plague was said to start in Asia. It started in 1347. The Black Plague was also called the Black Death because it wiped out so many people. The Black Death was a very terrible time for Europe because one-third of the population died. Many people had family members who died. the way doctors would check their patients was wearing a mask that was shaped as a beak so he would not inhale the sickness in the air. Many people would just be dying on the street. Others were dead and be thrown in a pile because people did not have much time before they could do anything with the body before they died.
