BC: THE END
FC: The Great depression
1: The Great Depression, was a horrible time. It occured when the economy failed. Banks were closing, people were losing their savings, their jobs and even there homes. Other causes were the stock market crash, the lack of farmers and the weakness of the agricutural sector.
2: The Great Depression lasted from 1929 to the late 1930's. Although the United States had experienced several depressions before the stock market crash but, none were as server or as long lasting before black Thursday struck wall street. The great depression ended around the same time but some countries were a little different on getting back to normal.
3: Life during the Great Depression was disturbing. People lost there jobs then eventually lost there homes. They became homeless and starved. People begged for food and money in the streets. An average pay for workers was 35 cents for 3 weeks of work.
4: I think a lot of people were affected by the great depression but i think others suffered more the poorer and middle class people. 25% of people were unemployed out of 4. 20% of America's children were hungry without proper clothing. In some coal mining regions the percent of malnourished children reached as high as 90. Also 40% of 16-24 year olds were not working or living in homes.
5: The great depression ended with the new deal program and the world war II. Prices were regulated and wages witch helped families buy the things they needed like food and clothing. But, world war II was really responsible for the change in the economy. The desperate need for soldiers and workers to make ammunition contributes to the end of the great depression leading America back on the to restoration.
