BC: Reflection: So far, this Millenial Project has really taught me more about myself and my peers. I've learned how we operate, differ, communicate, and learn. It's interesting to find out these facts about "Millenials" and literally listen and learn how they explain us perfectly. The projects thus far have taught me many things. Not only has enforced teamwork, with the Model Millenials, but it's pushed me to try harder at things I am unfamiliar with, like computer programs, such as the Mixbook and Wiki. I've proven myself to be as tech-savvy as I am precieved. I think I will benefit greatly through this experience because I have learned what kind of a person I am expected to be, I have taken on new challanges and conquered them. I am a Millenial!
FC: The Millenial In Me! | technology, success, friends and family.
1: Millenials today are involved in school activities more so than ever before! | A Pep Rally, a football game, and a walk-a-thon! All of these are school events that not only have students in leadership and student council participated, but also, many other students from all different sports and clubs! School involvment has become the "in" thing these days in school! With the pressure to become all and everything you can, millenials today are focusing more on what matters in the long run of their future.
2: Millenials are all about TECHNOLOGY! I genuinely try my hardest to understand the basics of computers and websites like wiki, but not all of it comes as easy as it may to others, like my 14 year old sister who wants to work with computers as a lifetime career one day. I am not the most tech-savvy teen in the universe, but I do attribute some of my time to myspace, facebook, and email weekly. I am infact, on of the only Millenials today, I believe, that does not own or desire an Ipod. I am totally clueless on how to work one! :)
3: Millenials today are TEAM ORIENTED! I myself have not been on a sports team in years...I guess you could say I'm slightly uncoordinated. I can't necessarily say I completely fit in to the Millenial catagory on this subject either because I can be a bit of a perfectionist and tend to do things on my own. Of course I am all about the better of the team as a whole, but I enjoy being more independent on certain things.
4: Studies show that tobacoo rates for Millenials have significately dropped! | Tobacco Free is Cool with Me! | I have never used or even considered using tobscco products! Milleniials now know the risks and consequences of Tobacco through organizations such as TRU! | Studies show that tobacoo rates for Millenials have significately dropped! | Tobacco Free is Cool with Me! | I have never used or even considered using tobscco products! 5: SHELTERED | I prove myself to be a Millenial through my relationship with my family. Both Blake and Lindsey are both very protective of me, and I'd be ready to fight for any of them. | SHELTERED | I prove myself to be a Millenial through my relationship with my family. 6: We think outside of the box! Our minds are without limit. Millenials can take a balloon and some tape and turn it into a prime example of themselves! The typical paper and pencil no longer cut it; We've moved on to bigger and better things! The future is ours and we realize that! | Creative!
7: FRIENDS=FAMILY | I would consider my friends to be as close to family as my own blood relatives. The saying, blood is thicker than water has no meaning when it comes to friendship today.
9: I may not be as tech-savvy as the rest of them; maybe I do like to play outside; I'm not extremely athletic and I can't stand video games, but I do live off of energy drinks and I love myspace and facebook; I consider myself to have an important say in things and I take my future seriously. I am indeed a Millenial!
