BC: Bebop tryied to brake away from the audience and commercailism. It focused on the music and only the music. Two very important people were | John "Dizzy" Gillespie a trumpeter and Charlie "Bird" Parker. They were one of the reasons why this Jazz was famous. It tried to go back to the real styles of Jazz like Dixieland.

1: Dixieland is the first style of Jazz that diveloped in New Orleans around 1900. It was a huge style of music that everyone loved and many types of Jazz would evolve from it.

2: After changes in the community musicains from New Orleans moved up the Mississippi. Some moved to Chicago and started a new style of Jazz that focused on group improvising. Many people erose from this style such as Louise Armstrong.

3: Swing It is one of the most important styles of Jazz. It had huge bands with only the frontline could improvise Whites and African | Americans would both listen to. This style of music broke down many Barriers between Whites and African Americans.
