1: Appropriate use of computers and other forms of technology for curriculum observation & documentation | 3rd Article: "A Dance with Butterflies: A Metamorphosis of Teaching and Learning Through Technology". | 2nd Article: "Early Childhood Technology Education: A Sociocultural Perspective". | 1st Article: "The Use of Computer Assisted Instruction in Preschool Education: Making Teaching Meaningful". | PART 1 : Review of the literature
2: Author's Main Points & Perspective | Agree/Disagree with Author & Why - I agree in what students can achieve through the use of computers and that they would be part of an 'Interactive Process' that would have a positive effect on those students that use it. - I agree with the 4 points the author talks about in his article. - I agree with the way educators were influenced to assist every child through their project with different technological devices to enhance their experiences within the learning process. | - Children should be exposed to age appropriate programs in order for them to get the most benefit from its use. | - Educators should keep 'Socio-cultural Perspectives' in mind before, during and after introducing technology within educational environments. | - Technology being used to enhance and instigate collaborative projects.
3: Restating/ Rational/ Reasons/ Evidence | - Computers are a great medium for equipping teachers with a modernized and improved way of teaching their students, especially children who learn better through visual and audio tools. Gives children the opportunity to learn through a new, modern method. Is environment friendly, saves students work digitally, can be worked on later, can be reviewed and graded by teachers, it has multiple uses, and can also be used for research or presenting information. | - There is a vast difference in the experiences young children are growing within compared to their parents generation. Some people consider technology as an 'artifact' and some as 'hi-tech'. As educators we have to find a way of keeping families up-to-date with the technological changes happening within the educational sector and how families can assist their children in this new era. | - Educators are encouraged to be very creative when coming up with a suitable multimedia resource to support children through the recognition network method. This method helps exercise different sections of a child's brain, to enhance a children unique way of learning and retaining information.
