1: William Shakespeare was brought by the stork on April 23, 1564. He was brought to John Shakespeare and Mary Arden at Stratford-upon-Avon.
2: William Shakespeare went to school from 7 to 14. He attended King Edward IV grammar school for free because his father was the Alderman.
3: Shakespeare's religion was probably protestant because his time was during the reign of Elizabeth 1. Elizabeth 1 banned Catholicism from England.
4: William Shakespeare met his wife Anne Hathaway when he was 18 and when she was 26. It is thought that Shakespeare married Anne because the stork was coming early.
5: The stork brought William and Anne three children. | The first born was a girl named Susanna, they then had twins one boy, Hamnet, and girl,Judith. | William's only son Hamnet died when he was 11.
6: For seven years after his twins came William disappeared from records. Then in 1588 he arrived in London as an actor and a playwright
7: By 1594 William was not only acting and writing for the Lord's Chamberlain's Men, he was also a managing partner in the group. His group soon became famous from royalty and theater watching people.
9: In 1593 the London theaters are closed because of the bubonic plague. During this time Shakespeare begins writing his sonnets.
11: Shakespeare had the most successful acting company in London of his time. | His plays were published into books like this which wasn't common for plays at his time. Shakespeare's company moved into the still famous Globe Theater which had a rich history.
13: In 1600 Shakespeare's Julius Caesar is the first play performed at the Globe Theater. During this year he also wrote a Midsummer's Nights Dream.
15: On March 24, 1603 Queen Elizabeth 1 died and James the VI of Scotland was named as the new king. Shakespeare makes the King's Men acting troupe.
17: In 1613 the Globe theater was burned down because a cannon set fire the rood of the theater during a performance of Henry VIII. A year later the second Globe Theater was built.
19: William Shakespeare died in 1616. His burial took place at Holy Trinity Church in Stratford. This is a picture of the burial site. In 1644 the Globe Theater was destroyed again, but this time by Puritans. His impact on the Renaissance was that he made characters think more "humanly", and he made them think complexly.

21: William Shakespeare wrote 37 plays, 154 sonnets, and he also acted in most of his plays! Shakespeare made up the word watchdog! His works mentioned over 600 types of birds. There are rumors that Shakespeare might have been homosexual. There is a soccer team in London, Tottenham Hotspur, that was named after one of Shakespeare's character, Harry Hotspur.
